Calamari lands in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) – – John Calipari says he is “humbled and excited” to lead such a “storied program” during his first press conference as Kentucky’s basketball coach. 
Calipari was introduced Wednesday after the Kentucky athletics board approved an eight-year, $31.65 million contract that will make Calipari the highest paid coach in the nation. Athletic director Mitch Barnhart said Wednesday that the university paid a premium price, but that Calipari “can flat out coach.” “I’m a regular guy, folks,” Calipari said. “I do not walk on water; I do not have a magic wand.” (That’s not gonna help you later, if you muss-up!…so why say that?) The 50-year-old Calipari agreed to terms on Tuesday night to take over college basketball’s winningest program. Calipari is 445-140 in 17 seasons, leading both Memphis and Massachusetts to the Final Four.

TODAY!,…rumors spill out from angry Mempiss fans, claiming dirty dealings between Calamari and FedEx. Typical?…somewhat expected?….Did these same fans CARE thing one about it while he was THERE?….doesn’t seem like it!….Also, did they really think he was gonna retire there?….Isn’t there a murder a DAY on that disgusting crime-ridden campus!?!?! I’ll bet he RAN outta there! Anyway, stories I’ve seen, claim the entire Basketball team had “sweet-summer” jobs at FedEx, and that Calamari received special compensation pirks FROM FedEx, like: vehicles, plane use, vacations, and the like!….still, I believe none of it. Mostly because if the heat was on, why wasn’t it ON before he left?….Was Mempiss “trapping” him??….HA! I say, “Good Luck in Lexington, Cal”. and, “If you aren’t a Gator, you’re Gator BAIT!”
