NSD, and you know it!

Posted by UFreak On February - 3 - 2010

National Signing Day!…the day silly ass College Football junkies (like myself) are glued to their favorite sites waiting for 17 - 18 year old kids to commit their College choices! For the Florida Gators, the class is pretty much complete; and all before 11am! This is the earliest I can recall this being “over”!…Well, there is a highly regarded OL Chaz Green who they still hope to get, but the rest are Signed sealed and ALL GATORS!. Check out that link, and dot the lines on what will be an amazing Defensive Line.

5* DE Ronald Powell (#1 overall recruit, per Rivals)

5* DT Sharrif Floyd (#4 overall recruit, per Rivals)

5* DT Dominique Easley (#7 overall recruit, per Rivals)

4* DE Lynden Trail (#123 overall recruit, per Rivals)

Add Safety Matt Elam (5*, overall #25 player, per Rivals) and Cornerback Joshua Shaw (4* overall #28 player, per Rivals) and the Defense might be kinda strong!…AGAIN!

Collectively, 10 of the Rival Top 100 are signed in as Gators…well, Travon Van isn’t “in” yet, but should be (HE’S SIGNED NOW!) (He’s not in the top 100 though). If Chaz Green (#43 overall, per Rival / OL) avoids the UTenn temptations, he could make 11 of the top 100 that are Gators (& 5 of the top 28 !). Not bad for a Coach who nearly had to quit due to health problems, in the middle of recruiting! Just added Adrian Coxson, 6′2″ wr from Maryland. 27 loi’s, one spot left….for Mr Green!?!?!?!

floridafans19

OSU is humming right around the #26 mark, though when OL Seantrell Henderson (#2 overall recruit, per Rivals) commits, that will shoot them back in the top 20 easy! They really didn’t have a whole lot of need this year. Young team, pretty much already set for 2010. Still, got a good class.

UC hasn’t cashed in, they are listed at #56…B-Kelly left no favors when he parted. They’ve lost a few of the touted recruits they had. By late afternoon they could fall into the 60’s in class rank.

The SEC is, once again, taking the bulk of the talent, by conference. Seven of the top 19 ranked classes are from the SEC. (Florida, Auburn, Alabama, LoSerU, Tennessee, Jawja, and Ole Miss ; SoCarolina fell to #26) Making it once again, the top conference in recruiting. Somehow people STILL doubt they are the best!…As if 4 National Titles in a row, and 5 out of the last 6 didn’t nail it down for them….???

National Signing Day is approaching!!!

Posted by UFreak On January - 30 - 2010

Most of the BIG names have declared, and Texas will likely end up with the #1 Class, followed by Florida, Alabama and a few other SEC Schools (6 in the top 10 to this point). On Wednesday (02.03.10) it’ll all settle, sans the possibility some Terrell Pryor/Bryce Brown type decides to ride the “LOVE-ME” train a little longer. For Pryor, it kinda made his two years of comparable “let-down” kinda interesting. And for UMichy and PeniSUfans, may have been a little humorous? OK, so in Michy’s case, they are PROBABLY a little more concerned with their direction, than how much better off both Pryor and THEY would be had it gone to Ann Arbor. Michiganis addressing their defensive needs in this class, but as far as top recruits coming in, that hasn’t yet returned. They will be better going forward, but Richie-Rod will wear asbestos underwear in this, his final year at the helm. Michigan will not be improved enUFf to save him….and the rope he’s been (to this point)given is long enUFf. PeniSU has righted the ship under Coke Bottle Glasses Guy, and lead the big10 in this years race. Its largely believed they’ll fall off a little in the conference THIS year, but are re-loading with this 2010 class.

There are two semi-high profile recruits, possibly, who will run this route this year. The extra time did little good for either of the two mentioned above; Pryor has been largely mis-used in Columbus, and Bryce Brown will move on to the NFL without ever playing in a January Bowl game! Still, I’m sure those extra weeks of Coaches coming by to blow you, were well worth the delay. In Pryor’s case, though, at least he’ll be playing for his conference Title every year. As much a credit to the his team, as it is for his conference. This year, he’ll have to beat scUMiami, Wiscony and Iowa. The two in conference games could be the most competition they had in a long while! scUMiami could be better this year than last. They have a ton of young fast players, that just didn’t handle the hot start so well last year. The game in 2011 will be the tUFfer game, but Pryor will likely make the jump by then…..based on potential more than appeal, I believe. He’s got the tools, he’s just not been able to play the kind of offense he’s built to play. tOSU fans would agree with that, following a loss. They might disagree with that line of thinking now, though. Fresh off a win against Defense-challenged Oregon (who was SHUT down by BSU in game one!), they have boners for the “O” now! At the time, of the Boise win over Ore-gone, it was considered an aberration. The team showed improvement. HOWEVER! -Noting what side of the ball matters (exclusively) in the PAC10 (sans USC), it may mean a little somethin’-somethin’..?? Oregon got to #7 by beating Arizona by 3 in double OT (44-41) and by beating Oregon State IN EUGENE, by 3 (UC smoke OSU in Corvallis in 2010,..smoked ‘em!) Arizona was shut-out in its Bowl game against Nebraska!

UCincinnati class rank, thus far?….With INdy’s DyJuan Lewis (top 150 player/recruit) in the mix, they are up to #58, per Rivals. HERE

Mike Leach is scum!..has horrible hair too!

Posted by UFreak On January - 3 - 2010

Leach has always loved up on, some Adam James!….PROOF

Alone, this video is nothing….coupled with the events of the past few weeks, it takes on a bigger life.

What a clown act this puke Mike Leach is becoming. Freakin’ guy acts all bad ass, then runs to him’s Lawyer like a little bitch when he gets in similar trouble with HIS Boss!. Yeah, you’re such a bad ass Mr Leach, right up until you’re a crap hypocrite!

 mikeleach1

Adam James is a “douche” because his Daddy meddles in Leach’s affairs concerning the team,…and, reportedly, his kids playing time. Mike Leach disciplines him in the manner HE sees fit, primarily because he has more “juice” than James. That, by Leach’s accounts (and his attorney), is just fine. However, when Leach gets discipline for, primarily, exposing the School to millions in liability!??! -Mr Leach runs to HIS “Daddy” (the lawyer!) the same way the meddling kid he complains about, apparently did. Leach wants his lawyer to correct the way the AD/School conducts their business??! “Way to keep your head on a swivel”, Coach!  —  This is so beautiful, they ought to bottle it up and shove it down Leach’s fat face (they’d easily fit it in there, past the sacks of sand he keeps in his cheeks)! Is this some of the qualities all those parents saw in Mr Leach, so “for-to-they” entrusted him to teach their boys life lessons?

How satisfying is this for A-James?…Leach obviously had a problem with James since at least last April, per the attach Vid-clip, so its not like there’s no history to bring to the table. The “APS” (Attending Physicians Statement) has stated that the Leach-interpreted diagnosis was whacked! (see: HERE ) -Also the trusted trainer and an assist. Coach have shown support to the James’ version of this story.

Leach and his “Daddy” will continue to pursue a “settlement” (despite stepping on their own dicks in the process.), not because Leach should be entitled to one, but because the nature of this situation is that there will be one offered. He’s a pig, and he acted like a moron here. He should be gone for opening the School up to that liability, AND for being a hypocrite f*cktard! Leach is now the punk kid, complaining about conspiracies and running back to “Pop’s” for help….

Method for making things “right”?…

I hope this douche rots in the septic tank of a Texas slaughter-house, with the lights off and the door locked! And in there with him? -His equally corrupt lawyer!….and, 12 of his associates (just for good measure!). Mike Leach should be release after several weeks (The lawyers can stay there forever!,….the only ones who’ll miss them are other sleaseballs looking to sue some one for no reason at all!), and free to pursue a life of Coaching red ants. Immediately upon his release he should be forced to get his hair cut updated from its current “70’s porn dude” to something less geeky. Maybe a mullet perm? (baby steps)

Texas Tech fires the Dungeon Master!

Posted by UFreak On December - 30 - 2009

So, what does the guy do?….Well, this is America folks, so of course he SUES the School! SURE!…Lawyers will sue for any F*ckin’ reason, even one where you spill hot ass f’n coffee on your crotch!..AND, apparently, when you MAKE a football player stand in a shed for getting a concussion!

listen, I get the part where a Coach is responsible to tUFf’n up the players, and there have been all kinds of techniques used to get that message across,..but tell, me PLEASE, anyone, What does standing in a “shed” for 3 hours do for a player who has a CONCUSSION!?!?!?….Bear Bryant would be OUT, if he attempted this stupid stupid, F’N stupid tactic. WHAT THE F*CK?!?!….Can you see the progression here?….JAMES: “Coach, I’ve been diagnosed with a concussion, and the Doc says I shouldn’t practice…..Says I should get rest”…LEACH: “OK, sure, I can understand that, son…Did this “DOC” fella say anything about YOU standing uninterrupted for several hours in a tool shed?”…..JAMES: “What?”….”Stand in a tool shed, Coach?”….”Is there a benefit to standing in a shed, even withOUT a concussion?”….LEACH: “F*CK YOU SON!…I’m the fat ass with man-boobs around here, NOT YOU!…I SAY YOU STAND IN A FREAKIN’ SHED for 3 hours, YOUR ASS STANDS IN A TOOL SHED FOR 3 HOURS, boy-ee”!….JAMES: “OK”….”Damn, you’re a smart man, Coach”…LEACH: “ARE YOU IN THAT SHED YET SON?!?!?!

mike-leach-texas-tech

Really, what ounce of sweat can you imagine you’ll get from sending a kid with a concussion, to “stand” in a shed?….I’ve been sent through the wringer puh-lenty! I understand and support the cause as it relates to the goals of getting the players to be tUFf,….however, knowing NOW about the legal side of things, and hearing how schools are paying off claims left and right over issues like NOT letting a pregnant girl play Volleyball, to kids dying during ordered “runs”,…I cannot imagine what Leach exposed Texas Tech to in the form of a lawsuit. had they NOT taken issue with this, it would have been as if they endorse this crazy teaching technique. In light of what happened to fatass Mangino over in Kansas, HOW can anyone support Leach on this? Fat Albert Mangino was dismissed over making a kid burn his hands doing the crawl, for gawds sake. What happens if James ends up with perm brain damage?….it wouldn’t even have to be related to the “STAND” treatment….but a Doctor somewhere will say it “could” have! The school’s fly is WIDE OPEN for litigation, and a huge payout!…FOR WHAT?….No, releasing Leach was the way to go. Tim Tebow made having a concussion a topical thing, and since there has been an out pour of players coming forward stating that they’ve been permanently hurt by Coaches and organizations for “forcing” them to Play or train after being diagnosed with a concussion! All these players coming back and supporting Leach, are not taking into consideration what the man opened up, as far as liability, for the school. His actions were crazy, foolish, and criminal. He shouldn’t be allowed to train the Guantanamo prisons in hari kari! He should never coach again, and his assface lawyer should be disbarred for taking this to our already jammed up courts!

LEACH VIDEO

F*CK YOU LEACH!…I hope some one makes you go 45 minutes w/o a meal, you hypocritical asshat!…You’d break like a bread stick at the 15 minute mark! I hope JAMES, sues YOUR ass! Craig James should run a pony express over your fat ass, but he wont because PETa will jump his sh.t because the horses would break their legs tripping over your man-boobs!

Yes, yes,…The Urban era is over, in G’ville…

Posted by UFreak On December - 27 - 2009

Speculation ABOUNDS!…First off, “NO”!…I am not accepting the job if and when Jeremy Foley calls me…and he will. Second, Tebow will NOT become the youngest ever Head Coach of a major College Program as a result of this news. Though that would be kinda cool, it’ll probably not happen, even after I spurn their offer.

Too bad Brian Kelly already has HIS dream job, eh?….How funny would THAT be? Stoops, Kyle Whittingham(Utah) and Dan Mullen (Missy State) appear as common choices. I’d rather Charlie Strong disconnect from L’ville and take it up, though he’s seen by many as too green (no HC experience). I say he’d do just fine, and would maintain a solid commit to the Defense. Bob Stoops is too far removed to have the intended impact, though he’d be a big name,…sadly, he will not be leaving Oklahomo until he’s ready to retire.

Notre Dame fans have offered Chunky, but Foley didn’t have enUFf Double Bubble grape flavor to cinch up the deal…Speculation of this move, however, that he might end up in G’ville DID boost investing in the local Wendy’s and Burger Kings franchises. Also, Lard-o-Boy Donuts looked into available space close to the Stadium,….thankfully there appear to be 4200 candidates ahead of Big-Butt, so….all that for nothing.

floridafromspace

Recruits appear to be locking in on theoir commits, but they have yet to be pressed by some of the sharks that will certain to be circling Urban’s carcass as the season progresses. Its more the nature of the biz than anything disrespectful though. The biggest winner of this happening will be Saban and Mack, as they will be the most likely to qualify for the talent that could be available.

Do the Gators get another Ron Zook?…or do they do a little better this go ’round?….Haters are hoping for the Zookster!….and Lame Kitten is probably still laughing!

UPDATE: AND NOW THIS

Its the Butch Jones Show now….boooo!

Posted by UFreak On December - 16 - 2009

UC lays an egg! They failed to sway Jeff Quinn into staying…meaning, he must either KNOW something, or he REALLY likes Notre Dame green too!

THIS is not the best hire! Jeff Quinn must have said in no un-mixed words, that he was going to So Bend with Kelly. No other reason you take this Butch dude. Nope!..Not one bit happy about this and I cant think recruiting will improve as a result, either. It just looks like some one is trying to make Cent Michy out to be some kind of Modern Day Coaching factory. Brian Kelly had it, but hittin’ up the well again?..Same team, by the same team?

GOOD LUCK BUTCH!…I hold out hope you do good things here, but I cant think this is a better bet than Quinn would have been. Even had Quinn declined, look at some other big name programs a little and get a name recruits can relate to!

Motor City Bowl Jones Football

Better enjoy this Sugar Bowl, UC’ers, its gonna get a WHOLE lot tUFfer here forward!….dang Notre Dame and their sack of gold coins!

Turner Gill will NOT be the next UC Head Coach….

Posted by UFreak On December - 13 - 2009

No, he sure wont be, here at UC. WHY?…well, probably the biggest reason is he can return to the BIG12. Turner Gill was a fablulous player at Nebraska, of course, and tooled under some impressive Coaches during his post-playing days. He would have been a nice fit here too. His offense is a little different, but I think he’d have been a better fit than Skippy will/would. (Skip Holtz). Anyone who’s father does a spot on ESPN as DUMB as Lispin’ Lou Holtz, will never get an endorsement here!…..He can become the next Urban Meyer, and he’ll still be the dude who’s lispin’ Dad did that dumbass skit on ESPN! To be fair, I should cut ESPN in on 1/2 the blame,…so, I do.

funny_pictures_965…..What they tell you you’ll get, and what you ACTUALLY get. See any difference?….

So, Turner Gill is off the list, and Skippy is still available!…(yuh-wah, What a surprise, huh?) Will Kansas be better off at this time next year, than UC will? Probably not!…but my guess suggests that by 2011, Gill has made strides, while Skippy will lead UC back to the middle of the pack in the Big Least. I sure hope UC Skips, on Holtz!…

Think the mighty (Jeff) QUINN, instead!

The expasion talk, again….

Posted by UFreak On December - 12 - 2009

The “OLD TEN” has watched their once mighty (well, it was in the 40’s - 60’s I hear) conference fall further and further behind everyone else, for years!
Before you think this is a “bash-the-Little-1(1)0″ piece, it really isn’t. The Big10 in trying to stick to its “traditions” has been slow to do most things other conferences have. The most progressive thing they (as a group) did, was UMichy’s hiring of Dick Rod - and unfortunately they are 2 years into that move and looking back on it with raised eyebrows. Think about OSU’s hire of Vesty…that’s NOT a move most other BIG schools would have made. It turned out well for them, but can you see Notre Dame or Oklahoma reaching out to an in-State small townie-Coach like that? You’re gonna have some success anyway, because of that old brand name, but still….low wattage. Paterno wasn’t part of the conf when he was hired,…back in 1921, or when he won Nat Titles; Making Tress the only hire who worked it all out. Though his EPIC failure against Florida in that Title game kinda took a shine off those earlier accomplishments.

The Big-Whatever conference has long been a 2-man race (No disrespect intended towards Wiscony, but really…until PENNIState got there, and got good again - boom, it was just OSU and Michy). Michy is struggling now, so its made PENNIState better. Two National Titles in the last 40 years, a losing record in the Rose Bowl, and 7 teams that dont instill fear in any MAC team, will do that.

 aaairsih1

Now they are looking like, or at least saying they will fill in another team, round off to 12 teams and get something new in the mix. For 15 years they’ve been waiting for ND to fall in their ranks, they resisted. (Mostly because the NCAA is filled with enUFf ND alum’s to keep the “gifts” coming.)

They missed out on Cincy, which would have been a super pick up (but who knew until a few years ago?)…now they are going to have to reach out to a Central Michigan, or try to pull some other ACC-like heist. Central Michy will need stadium/facility upgrades, but they are regionally a good fit. They also boast the best potential for quality, though they’d never win the Title…..which may be the plan, and it shouldn’t be. Waiting for ND to fall in line just ain’t happenin’!

Alvarez was always a good coach, hopefully he can rally enUFf supporters to get this done quick….A BIG10\11\1? Conference Title Game?….YEE-hah!

Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez says the Big Ten will soon make a more aggressive push toward adding a 12th member.

Speaking to Wisconsin’s athletic board on Friday, Alvarez, the former longtime Badgers football coach, said the conference already has investigated possibilities for expansion “from all over the country.” And though he places no timetable on the search, Alvarez thinks conference commissioner Jim Delany will respond to a group of athletic directors and coaches who want expansion.

“I have a sense he is going to take this year to really be more aggressive about it,” Alvarez told the board. “I just think everybody feels [expansion] is the direction to go, coaches and administrators.”

Penn State football coach Joe Paterno has been the most vocal advocate of a 12th Big Ten team, and he has support from several of his fellow coaches.

A 12th team would allow the Big Ten to split into divisions and hold a conference championship game. The Big Ten typically ends its football season two weeks before the other BCS conferences, though the addition of a permanent bye week in 2010 will shrink the gap by a week.

“We’re irrelevant for the last three weeks of the football season because we’re not playing,” Alvarez said Friday.

Paterno has stumped for expansion several times, but Delany — who was unavailable for comment — told ESPN.com this spring that the league has no immediate plans to add a 12th team.

“There’s not an obvious move,” Delany said in May. “There might be to some coaches, including Coach Paterno, but it’s not as obvious to the university presidents and to the athletic directors.

“There are a lot [of schools] that could take a lot away, but there aren’t a lot that could bring so much to make the choice an easy one. You have to have a lot to make something go like this, and it’s broader than really a championship game or a basketball tournament.”

The Big Ten most recently expanded with Penn State, which began competing as a league member in football in 1993. The league has made runs at Notre Dame but hasn’t had serious discussions for several years.

UC will be fine, but ND will still suck

Posted by UFreak On December - 11 - 2009

Gilyard handled the news just fine, and why shouldn’t he?…He’s been a great leader for this team, and they will be fine going forward. There are a number of solid coaching prospects, and they’d be lucky to inherit a 12-0 team!

inmyass

Skip Holtz: The East Carolina coach since 2005, Holtz just won his second-straight Conference USA championship. After being linked last year with the Syracuse head coaching job, Holtz was quoted as saying “it would have to be a really special situation to get me out of here.” East Carolina plays Arkansas in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2.

Chris Petersen: After four seasons at Boise State, Petersen is now regarded as one of the best offensive coaches in the country. Fans will remember his team beating Oklahoma 43-42 in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. Could playing in the Big East, with its BCS bowl tie-in, be attractive for Petersen? Maybe, then again, he’s about to play in his second Fiesta Bowl in four years: The Broncos play TCU on Jan. 4.

Butch Jones: Jones replaced Brian Kelly as the Chippewas’ head coach in 2007. He led Central Michigan to an 11-2 mark this season and Top 25 ranking, and his team will face Troy in the GMAC Bowl on Jan. 6 in Mobile, Ala.

Jeff Quinn: The long-time assistant to Kelly is UC’s offensive coordinator.
He’s spent 21 seasons with Kelly and knows the ins and outs of the Bearcats’ offense. He’s a finalist for the Broyles Award.

Let’s hope Quinn gets that perm job, even though he sounds like he’s not expecting it…

Bowl Odds

Posted by UFreak On December - 8 - 2009

Las Vegas has posted opening lines for the five Bowl Championship Series games:

Rose Bowl: Oregon (-2) vs. Ohio State. Over/under: 50. The line has moved to minus-3.5 at the time of this post.

Sugar Bowl: Florida (-10.5) vs. Cincinnati. Over/under: 62.

Fiesta Bowl: Texas Christian (-4) vs. Boise State. Over/under: 54. The line has already moved to minus-8.

Orange Bowl: Georgia Tech (-3.5) vs. Iowa. Over/under: 51. The line has moved to minus-3.

BCS title game: Alabama (-4) vs. Texas. Over/under: 45.

Ohio State, Florida, TCU, Jawja Tech, and Alabama, will win. (Though will ALL cover the spread?)……Who outside of SEC fans REALLY wants to see a 4th straight (and 3rd different) SEC National Champion!??!?!…Yeah, look for the BCS Bashers to rally in high gear over this! No one likes ANY thing that wins like this. Sure, this should be Florida and Cincy in THE BCS game, but that didn’t happen thanks to a poor performance by ‘dem Gators.

Who bets the TCU talk this year dwarfs that of The Ute talk last year?..Yeah, and it’ll be ALL the same people!

yup!…Tiger (reportedly) banged THIS porn star too….But as she might tell it,…”Who hasn’t?” — Still, bet it was a lot of fun!….for him!

Jimmy to turn Pro!,….based on what?

Posted by UFreak On November - 28 - 2009

Jimmy-Jimmy Clausen will decide in the next few days, whether or not to forgo his Senior season at Notre Dame, and go Pro. He has that choice! He has the choice, but what is it based on?….Horrible career record?, ZERO big wins?,….bringing his team back against far inferior competition? Failing on his promises? Or maybe, getting his ass bitch-slapped by a fan in his own town?….Wait, maybe its Losing 2 of his last 3 against a team The Irish had beat 43 straight times before he got on campuss?…Possibly it was losing twice (back-to-back) AT home, on Senior Day? All that means GREAT PRO in my book (note sarcasm)!

nd1

Really, where is the substance here?….This kid’s mother agreed to swallow a QB Coach 8 weeks into her pregnancy so that “Jimmy” could be trained as a fetus!…I’m not kidding! This kid’s had opportunity other kids, who out-play him every day, never knew existed! Yet this “Super Star” has won absolutely SH.T in College! OK, let’s qualify that a bit, he’s done well for an average QB playing in a non-BCS conference who goes through his career with little to no mention. Compared to big time recruits, playing at what is suppose to be a “big-time” program?….He’s done less than nothing!. Hell, even UC-Davis picks up a memorable win now and again. How is it “Jimmy”-boy made it 3 years at Notre Dame, and never ONCE beat anyone of merit?(OK, so there were only a few opportunities due to the easy schedule, still…) You can only blame the defense for so much of a pathetic game against Navy, where they scored NOTHING until the final minutes. Or Syracuse, AT HOME, on Senior day when Jimmy’s offense scored a whopping 23 points against a team that gave up 42 to Akron that year! 23 points, btw, was the 3rd lowest points total given up by Syracuse ALL year!, in 2008. Yeah, they went 3-9 (including the Irish win) and were destroyed by everyone!! OK, so you’re going to say “Jimmy was just a Sophomore then….well yeah, a 21 year old Sophomore!

Yet, Jimmy has had NONE of those type games in HIS career! None! He didn’t even win 1/2 the games he was suppose to, much less direct even ONE “big” win!

As the younger brother of two former Division I quarterbacks—Casey and Rick Clausen, who both played at Tennessee—Jimmy Clausen gained media attention very early. Beginning in eighth grade, his parents paid his tutelage under professional quarterbacks coach Steve Clarkson. During his junior season, a Sports Illustrated feature dubbed him “The Kid with The Golden Arm”. Recruiting analysts considered him a “once in a decade” quarterback talent and ranked him as the #1 overall prospect of the 2007 high school class. Because of his quick release, some in the media compared him to Joe Namath.

Critics have questioned whether Clausen’s success in high school was largely a product of his team—containing almost a dozen players that went on to play for NCAA Division I Bowl Subdivision teams, including a highly-ranked running back, Marc Tyler—and the inferior talent level of its opponents. Many of these critics pointed to the 2007 U.S. Army All-American Bowlin which Clausen was outplayed by fellow 2007 quarterback recruit, Ryan Mallett. Further, Clausen’s age is a subject of criticism: he started kindergarten at six and repeated sixth grade, thus he was 19 years old at the time of his “early” graduation.

On April 22, 2006, Clausen verbally committed to the University of Notre Dame. He was the most highly touted recruit for the Fighting Irish since the arrival of Ron Powlus in 1993. Clausen announced his oral commitment at the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana, after arriving in a stretch Hummer limousine. He also said his goal was to win multiple national titles with the Irish.

This year, “Jimmy-Jimmy” has logged 23 TD’s to only 4 INT’s, and thrown for 3382 yards. This is, I hope, what his advisers are banking an NFL future on…but again, what’s it mean? His defense “allowed” him to be ON the field a lot, and often in a position where he HAD to hurl the ball,….He played against an absolutely horrible schedule - all three years, and of those teams they played, most were soft defensively! Of the 23 TD’s he’s thrown this year, nearly a third of them (7) came in the first two weeks of this season; –against Nevada (117th worst pass defense) and hapless Michigan (in a game he lost; to a team that finished 5-7 !). He cant even boast that he managed his games well, as fumbles, a throw off a wr’s back, and keys sacks taken have plaugued him as well! Not even having two(2) of the best Wide-Outs the school has seen in 25 years, could ensure a .500 record! This, once again, against a schedule that would have had Idaho State licking their chops in anticipation! “Jimmy and the Fat Man” failed, failed, FAILED! Failed to get the wins deserving of their hype (and Coaches salary), FAILED to get even that one signature win, and failed to finish above .500! (assuming they’ll lose today). Oh, they also failed to return to any “worthy” Bowl Game!

emu

Yeah, go play another team with a 100-something ranked pass defense in a Bowl game, JIMMY!…pad your stats, so an NFL team picks you. You will fail just like you did given all the advantages you’ve had!….Really, you give Forrest Gump that kind of starting off point, and he’d have beaten Navy all 3 times! Jimmy = Joe Namath…HAHAHAHAHA! …Here’s hoping the dumb ass Cleveland Browns take another Charlie Weis Collegiate ”product”!, and sink their franchise for another 10-12 years!  – Charlie, I hope ND retains you for the life of your fat-ass contract! You give a whole lot of people a LOT to laugh about! Either YOU ruined Jimmy, or Jimmy was never that good,…either way, keep it up Chunky!

Pitt cant stop final WVU drive…

Posted by UFreak On November - 27 - 2009

…thus taking a bit of the shine off next weeks game between UCincy and those disappointing Panthers. Pitt QB Bill Stull was a mediocre flop today, and the result is a loss for the Bearcats.

The WVU Mountaineers defeated the Pitt Panthers 19-16 in a game that will send Pitt OUT of the top 10, and tarnish what will be a Bodacious Bearcat Beatdown next weekend. Tony Pike and the boys sunk Zookers Illini as Pike fired 6 TD passes, and probably earned Brian Kelly another bonus tier with the Notre Dame Athletic Director.

 uc

All that needs to happen, is either F$U to trip up Tebow and the Gators in Tim’s final home game tomorrow, and/or for Nebraska to play out their asses and dump the 2009 Heisman winner Colt McCoy and his Longsteers on their asses. Sure, long shots, but how jacked up will F$U be to pull of their 1/2 of the formula? Beat Teeb’s in his last home game, last regular season game, and thump his chance of playing out his career in yet another BCS Title game!??!?! The motivation will NOT be in short supply tomorrow in G’ville! (CBS 3:30pm, for those who don’t know)

TCU gets New Mexico, or New Mexico A&M Tech State?; The only chance of an upset there is if The Texans show up in the Lobo’s place…..Everyone who blew Utah’s horn last year is in LOVE with the Horned ones this year, naturally! Anything to deflect! After all, they beat Clemson and Virginia this year!

There is hope, but its fading unless a few things happen. I for one, was very impressed (again!) with the UCats today, and Mr Pike’s great home finale! If they don’t get to play for the Nat Title, then I hope they get Jawja Tech or those (now) beloved Horned Frogs/Boise State Broncos. I also hope Kelly has the decency to divert attention away from his job status to NOT let it interfere with the prep work going into Bowl season. Can you imagine if Urban and Kelly both decline the job? Then its a race for J Hairball and Gary Patterson. THEN!,..man, if THEY turn it down as well?….Big Butt might just get to keep his job, to help ND save face!…..but, naaahhh, one of those guys will up and take it…..just hope its Hairy or G-Pat.

UC falls to #8 in BCS Poll????

This’ll tick off some locals!….and maybe it should. I can’t get over USC being allowed to lose to HORRIBLE teams year after year, and still getting the highest ranking a one loss team can get! Washington?….Losing to Washington should discount them down to a 2 loss team. SURE,..the National Championship game in IN the Rose Bowl this year, and ooooh how nice that would be???….but WASHINGTON?….whew! The also (only) beat Oregon State by 6 points!?!?….UC thumped ‘em!

 BCS Standings

Then there’s the IOWA love…which to a degree is valid, but a 4th and goal TD pass with no time left to beat Michy State?..If Florida or Alabama had done that, they’d have been blasted…..yet for Iowa?…They’re treated like Royalty for a BUNCH of really ugly wins, and one strong win at PSU. LOOK . They beat Northern Iowa by one?,..and beat Arky State by 3?……Florida beat REGULAR Arky by three and were beat down for it! I understand the love, to a point, but the hate for some teams and the global love for “anyone else” is a bit over the top. Particularly when you use a double standard like that.

Alabama \ Tennessee….THAT was a finish there!….UCLA beat those Kiffin’s? Hhhmm, maybe they were a little too pre-occupied with their next game to give UCLA the respect they should have given them???? Does that mean Meyer is responsible for 2 of Kif’s losses this year?

FGS top 10

Posted by UFreak On October - 25 - 2009

1. Florida:  Pros; Undefeated, beat a top 5 team on the road Defense very strong.  Cons; Winning close games against teams they should beat by more. Offense not playing well, horrible turnovers.

2. Alabama: Pros; Beat Virginia Tech (neutral site), great D and POWERFUL RB in Ingram. Cons; have been close at times, including 2pt home win against Kiffin’s Vols 10.24.09.

3. Texas: Pros; Big win against Mizzu, strong D and Spl teams. Cons; horrible schedule, barely beat Okly in a game Okly lost 4 of 5 lineman and their QB. The BIG12 has no team in the North, the Title game will get ugly. conference is down.

4. UCincinnati: Pros; Explosive offense, beat Oregon State (away game) by MORE than USC did playing the game in LA! Cons; Haven’t hit a top team yet, big games are UWV and Pitt.

5. Iowa: Pros; Undefeated, beat PSU in Happy Valley. Cons; all wins are ugly/lucky. This is a negative when other teams do it, so it is here too. Also tOSU will beat them in Columbus.

6. TCU: Pros; undefeated, beat BYU like a drum on the road. Cons: barely beat Clemson (but it was on the road), weak schedule, any of the teams above them would also be undefeated here.

7. Boise State: Pros; Undefeated, took out Oregon -though Oregon was lost on opening day. Oregon wasn’t going to beat ANY team on that day, so a win, but more based on super timing.

8. Oregon: Pros; super offense, beat Utah, great looking uni’s and defense is playing well. Cons; lost on the road at BSU, RB sucker-punched a player on live TV, have won big, but not against a biggie (yet)….Cal was a phony!-but they did destroy them!

9. LSU: PRO’s; Beat Washington on the road (same team that beat USC) great defense, maturing offense. CONS: lost home game, but that was to #1 Florida. Still has to show up against Alabama.

10. Southern California: Pros; Great fan support, beat Ohio State on the road, beat over-rated Notre Dame on the road. CONS; Lost to 3-5 Washington!..should be -’nUFf said! Any loss to a team that bad, should disqualify this team. They lost to Washington after LSU beat them in the same building! No excuse can cover up this loss. They beat Oregon State by less than UC did IN Corvallis. They should need a LOT of help to make the BCS Game, even though its in their media market this year!

Mix in to the next five : Georgia Tech, Oklahoma State, PENNiState, Miami(U), and  Pitt…. Not sure how ANYone can rate USC higher than UC at this point. They lost a game, and it was against a nobody. UC played a common opponent and destroyed them (OSUw).
