UC Primed to take control of the Big(L)East
How much does WVU miss Richy Rod?…..A TON!…..Bill Stewart is certainly a respectable guy, and an awesome grandpa too, I’ll bet. He is NO Richy Rod though, and the Mountaineers are going to fall back into the unranked abyss for a spell. At the very least-for the short term! Everyone was all wrapped up in the fuzzy-warm story of how Grandpa Bill took over the team amidst the turmoil of Richy jumping ship, and destroyed Stoops’ Sooners in the 2008 Fiesta Bowl game. The last great game they’ve played!

That memory might be all these mountaineers have to grip to, as they watch the changing of the Guard in the Big(L)East. Cincinnati has the direction and the Coach, to become the staple Big(L)East team for the next decade! That is, of course, unless BEE-rye Kelly decides his paychecks are too small and jumps off and into Notre Dame…and obviously that’s a valid concern. Still, with RECORD numbers of student filling the ranks, and a sizable bank account (figuratively speaking) left over from the Nancy Zimpher years, UC could secure Kelly with a powerful contract that just might keep him in town. Now, it “might” come at the expense of the Basketball program!….As were the days of yore, when Huggy-Chicken ran the roost and Football was intentionally suppressed! The smart people seem to think Cronin is just WAITING to fill the void after Pitino retires from Louisville. Apparently lowering the basketball budget is also something Mick sees (and now FEELS) as part of the pending UC future.
Back to WestVirginny!…..They were handed an 11-point loss to Offensively challenged Auburn, on “The Plains”! and now, they’re bragging about beating Colorado (HEY!,..Colorado, how do you miss 3 FG;s in one game?)! Yeah, the same team that Toledo hung 54 on (Colorado), the Mountaineers are boasting about beating by eleven! THAT’S how much they miss Richie Rod, even if they’ll never (pride and hatred) say it!
Oct. 1
at West Virginia 35 … Colorado 24
Noel Devine ripped off a 77-yard touchdown run and Jarrett Brown connected with Jock Sanders for a six-yard score and Brad Starks for a 48-yard touchdown as West Virginia won a sloppy game. Colorado stayed alive on a 36-yard Rodney Stewart touchdown run and got a 29-yard touchdown catch from Scotty McKnight, but three interceptions, three missed field goals from Aric Goodman, and two short touchdown runs from West Virginia’s Ryan Clarke were too much to overcome. The Mountaineers turned it over four times, all on fumbles.
Player of the Game: West Virginia RB Noel Devine ran 22 times for 220 yards and a touchdown
Colorado: Passing: Cody Hawkins, 27-52, 292 yds, 2 TD, 3 INT
Rushing: Rodney Stewart, 21-105, 1 TD, Receiving: Scotty McKnight, 9-98, 1 TD
West Virginia: Passing: Jarrett Brown, 12-19, 148 yds, 2 TD
Rushing: Noel Devine, 22-220, 1 TD, Receiving: Brad Starks, 3-68, 1 TD
What It All Means: West Virginia gave Colorado several chances to take over the game, but the Buffs didn’t take advantage. The defense couldn’t slow down Noel Devine and the Mountaineer running game, but the bigger problem was CU’s own ineffectiveness on offense. Cody Hawkins threw 52 times, but the passing game only gained 292 yards with three rough interceptions. To have any chance at Texas next week, the offense has to be perfect while the defense can’t give up the big plays it allowed in Morgantown.
Richie Rod, on the other hand, has seemingly weathered the early storm and has his team “on-the-grow” in Ann Arbor (who Buckeye fans think is a whore,…???). Some much he might even get that “comped” round of Golf in this year, at the University course he’s wanted so badly.(It’s a private course you know: http://www.worldgolf.com/courses/usa/michigan/annarbor/university-of-michigan-golf-course-private.html). You do have to look past that close game against Indiana to FULLY appreciated the Phoenix Richie is experiencing!
What does this all mean?….It means UC is in the driver’s seat BABY!, the one left empty by WVU, Louisville, and USF primarily. Rutgers is strongly considered the next best team (now) in the conference, and of course UC destroyed them IN New Jersey(What exit?) a few weeks ago! ….UConn, Pitt and Syracuse are out looking in, and this was supposed to be a DOWN year for Kelly’s Hero’s; following an Orange Bowl season that saw all but one defender leave! Mardy Gilyard and Private Pike have made it look easy, but they’ve had a lot of help too! This team could be scary good if they’re able to maintain this focus and keep this Coach. So much in fact, that the Basketballer fans might just get over the loss of the POWERFUL CUSA teams from years past! They were paper-tigers anyway!…under .500 in the Tourney, only one Final 4?….The Football team will beat that with another BCS Bowl appearance THIS year!
WAIT!,…WHO was over-rated again?
Thursday Night 1000′s upon 1000′s of SEC (jealous) haters jumped on the chance to claim Ole Miss(y) was over-rated because The Spurriers Cocks beat them in Columbia!-which is the Cocks’ home; (WILLIAMS-BRICE Stadium). HAHAHAHA, oh how they ALL loved to see an SEC team lose, huh!!…THEN!…THEN, Saturday happened, and LOW-AND-BEHOLD!….PENnIState loses to Iowa!….during (another) their Home White Out!!!- by 11 points! Not the 6 points that Ole Missy lost on the road by!..NO!…ELEVEN!…, Cal drops a BIG turd at Oregon, Miami gets their sh.t smoked at Va-Tech and Notre Dame skims by PURDUE!….FREAKIN’ PUR-DUE!!!!!…..AND!,..it took a gift time-out on third down by P-due to get it done!?…What was Purdue thinking?….Notre Dame was going to spike the ball? and you help them get an extra play by calling a time out?…..Chunky, in MY opinion as a fan of the game (not the Irish) I still have your fat ash on the hot-seat. Turf-toe or not, god gawd, you gotta beat freakin’ Purdue! They lost to NIU last week!

And Cal,…Oregon was a red-headed step-child to BSU (Boise State) in the opener, and they barely beat HORRIBLE Purdue!…38-36. YOU SCORED ONE FIELD GOAL AGAINST THEM???….no, no,…y’all were right, it was only OLE MISS that was over-rated!….yeah, let these other games just slip under the rug and go away.Yeah, throw all the shame on Ole Miss ALONE! USC follows up a loss to Washington (WHO GOT “B”-F’d by Stanford 34-14 yesterday) by “limping” by Washington State 27-6?!?!?….You’re only 3 TD’s better than Washy State?…No,…you and the Kiffin’s should go celebrate!…..! Oh, and Kif?…yeah, a home game agaisnt OHIO U!?!?!…at one point late this was a 24-20 game! HAHAHA!…those awesome Kif’s! 34-23 against The Bobcats!…damn, this must be the Bobcats’ Frank Solichs’ ”Coming-out” Party, then…considering Lame Kiffin’s props for a 10-point win at Florida last week, this 11 point bobcat loss must have led to a grand celebration in Athens, Ohio! ya think? No!…No,…only Ole Miss was over-rated. Y’all were so right!…must be, haven’t read anyone else who jumped on ANY of these teams to this point.

In other news, you may have heard Tim Tebow got hurt in his game yesterday….yeah, I know…”WHAT YOU SAY?!?!?!”…I think the media has largely let this side-story fall between the cracks some…..its a wonder too, ’cause there’s a huge angle they can exploit there. Anyway, a UKentucky DE got in un-blocked and helemt speared Teeb’s, knocking him back into the on-coming knee of OL Marcus Gilbert of the Gators. The impact knocked Tebow out on the field, and gave him a concusion. Pieces of crap UKat fans collectively joined in, in harmoneous celebration!…Almost like when they got a first down 1/2 way thru the 2nd qtr, or when they actually scored in the game; only much louder. They weren’t alone of course, as “Gator Haters” everywhere chimed in glee! Enjoy your fun time! Yeah, now “maybe” YOUR team has a shot, huh!??!?!…yeah, right!!
WE FOUND A NEW WAY!!!!
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the Bungles discover a new way to look bad. As if 20 straight seasons of zero playoff wins and one + .500 season, now they’re inventing ways to make it on ESPN ….I know, I know, NO ONE wants to see it again, but HERE. Remember, 1/2 the teams lost on opening day! -nah, didn’t think that’d help.
Here, have a beer:
Its almost worse than that freakin’ 86 yard usc drive Saturday night!….blah!
Thanks to YOU, Mr Kelly. 70 points, though, isn’t that kinda like runnin’ up the score or something? Be interesting to see how a certain hypocrite fan base balances the hate for some teams that use to run up the score, and this UC team……I’ve always been a fan of scoring;….”Teams that can score, score…..”teams that can’t, complain about the teams that can“….still, I’ve heard a lot of bad things in relationship to scoring more than you need to,…just saying.
Who takes Vick?
Obviously, The Browns taking him would be humorous!,…READ….The Dawg-pound will become the “Pound-the-Dawgs”! Interesting marketing concept,…and since that’s about ALL the NFL has these days, its a possibility I’d guess.
Where is his “break” gonna come from?…Oakland?…New England?….Tampa Bay?….or maybe KC, or Minnesota? What is YOUR opinion of this “man” and his “options”. The UFL has reportedly offered him 2 mil,..though I hear that’s unconfirmed.

“CATS” in the craddle?
The UFL Draft is complete!…what?…
…you didn’t KNOW about the UFL Draft? and you call yourselves FOOTBALL fans??..hhmmmppff! - THE UFL,..the “other” NFL!….

Luckily for YOU,…there’s ME! UFL ROSTERS
This is going to be “more gooder” than the XFL, you can bank on that!
Jack Kemp,….RIP

Kemp was a 17th round 1957 NFL draft pick by the Detroit Lions, but was cut before the season began. After being released by three more NFL teams and the Canadian Football League over the next three years, he joined the American Football League’s Los Angeles Chargers as a free agent in 1960. A waivers foul-up two years later would land him with the Buffalo Bills, who got him at the bargain basement price of $100.Kemp led Buffalo to the 1964 and 1965 AFL Championships, and won the league’s most valuable player award in 1965. He co-founded the AFL Players Association in 1964 and was elected president of the union for five terms. When he retired from football in 1969, Kemp had enough support in blue-collar Buffalo and its suburbs to win an open congressional seat.In 11 seasons, he sustained a dozen concussions, two broken ankles and a crushed hand — which Kemp insisted a doctor permanently set in a passing position so that he could continue to play.
“Pro football gave me a good perspective,” he was quoted as saying. “When I entered the political arena, I had already been booed, cheered, cut, sold, traded, and hung in effigy.”JACK KEMP
Bengals Impress Mel!
…and really, that’s what this Draft is ALL about!….Mel Kiper, his hair, and addressing needs; IN that order!

How is it ESPN keeps rolling out this CHANDLER BING wanna-be every April?…..how is it NFL scouts and other draft related peoples still talk to this stick with gelled hair on it?….He’s on record, you know…saying some stupid bullshit! Like it matters!, BUT!…HE LIKES THE BENGLES!..so, he’s gonna be our buddy right now!….Yeah, until this class explodes/realizes they are Bengals!
Bungles draft eval HERE
Way to pull a “Tank” job 2 weeks before the draft!
Ya really gotta hand it to the Bengals Front office and Father Marvin Lewis! They preach Change, They preach New Attitude, They preach being responsible for your actions and being a good person on and off the field, so what do they do, you ask?????
They bring in little choir boy “Tank Johnson”.
Listen, I’m not saying he won’t help the defense. Truth is he still has a little left in him. I’m just sayin, how are you supposed to clean up a program and give the team an identity, when all you do is bring in criminals.
What, are they a fucking half-way house for these bums? Look at what he brings with him….A troubled past, and 8 game suspension, and an arsonal of assorted small arms. This cat loves his guns. I’ll bet you 10:1 that this guy gets arrested for some sort of gun violoation.
It’s a losing battle trying to keep up with the blundering bungles! I love my hometown Teams, but until Mikey jumps off the purple people eater, we’re fucked!
Sorry this post is kinda lame, but I’m saving all my cracks for the draft. Because I can already feel these bitches getting ready to sign a WR or RB with their first pick, and it will be time to verbally rape them then!
Afterall, when the bengals get a resume with a mugshot instead of a football pic, you know he’s as good as hired. Nice job Brown Family! Keep up the good work at the Half-Way house!
I’m out!
Plaxi-ASS at it again?….
Plaxico Burress, released Friday by the Giants amid an ongoing gun-possession case in New York, cursed out a police officer in Florida during a recent traffic stop, telling the cop he was going to be in trouble because Burress knew the sheriff “personally,” the New York Post has reported.
Burress, who faces a possible 3½-year prison sentence on the gun charge, replied to each of the officer’s questions and commands with an “[expletive] you” during the stop, the newspaper reported, citing police.
Broward County Deputy Sheriff Donald Harris pulled Burress over around 10:30 a.m. on March 18 for speeding on Interstate 95 near Fort Lauderdale, the Post reported. Harris opened the door of Burress’ black 2008 Toyota Sequoia when the officer couldn’t see inside the player’s SUV.
“[Expletive] you,” Burress said, according to the Post. “You can’t open my [expletive] door.”
Burress, who the police report said was driving like “he was going to kill somebody,” was issued a $150 speeding citation, his fifth traffic ticket in Florida in the past month, the report said.
According to the police, a “violent and aggressive” Burress, 31, was asked to get out of his car to be checked for weapons.
“You’re going to hear about this by the end of your shift,” said Burress, who has a house in South Florida, as he returned to his car, according to the newspaper report.
Burress also received tickets for going 60 mph in a 45 mph zone, improper tags, improper lane change and improper window tinting on March 1, the Post reported.
His gun-possession case was adjourned last Tuesday until June 15.

The Jerk, a re-make?
Well, I’d have to admit, so far he’s not done much to disprove this notion…..

I didn’t think ANYone could make Al Davis “look” good, these days.
Credit to his incoming class,…he pulled in some players!…certainly they had a LOT of open positions to sell. He got the number 1 rated RB the other day, which should help a team that generally has a SOLID O-Line….Still, the guarantee win prediction over Florida?, the recruiting infractions?, the mis-understanding several rules?…(which, in itself isn’t that bad,..its just that he went on to promote the problem by mis-understanding them and THEN trying to catch other coaches doing something wrong!,..when HE was!…..silly-rabbit, dix are for chix!), the shots at Meyer and Saban, and then the old “Gas-pumper” gag with US(purrier)Ceast…..I’m sure his approach is catching the attention of many in a ”look, he’s going after the big boys, he must be a bold guy” kinda way, but unless he makes large strides, this “way” could blow up in his face. As an SEC fan, I’d prefer he just coach and play first, then decide if he’s a news worthy guy.
’til then, He’s THE JERK!
