Got an insider tip: There will be a DUI check point on Queen City Avenue by Murray’s Pub on Saturday night 3/28 (10 pm – 4 am). If you will be traveling on the Westside and from the Enquirer: HAMILTON – A drunken-driving checkpoint will be held somewhere in Butler County on Friday night, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. DUI Suspect claims he’s his own country
EASTON, Pa. (AP) — A man accused of driving drunk said Pennsylvania courts have no jurisdiction over him because he’s his own country. Witmer, who represented himself, said he believes police lack jurisdiction to pull him over. As he said in court: “I live inside myself, not in Pennsylvania.” He said there is no victim in the crime and asked to go to trial.

Ham. Cty DUI checkpoint planned Tuesday Feb 24

Police will conduct a drunk driving checkpoint next Tuesday (Feb. 24) in Hamilton County.
The Hamilton County OVI Task Force says the checkpoint is to ensure safe driving during the Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) celebrations.
The task force will release details about the checkpoint on Monday. Checkpoints are usually in well-traveled areas from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Police are required to publicize checkpoints.

DUI Checkpoint announced in Butler County

LIBERTY TWP. – A drunk driving checkpoint will be held tonight on Ohio 4 near Liberty-Fairfield Road, the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Hamilton post announced.

The checkpoint will run from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office will assist state troopers.
Extra patrols also will be out in the area.
Law enforcement officials are required to give advance notice of DUI checkpoints.
