Most of us will never be mistaken for Perfect citizens in every way. I’m certainly not, and I doubt more than a few of you are, either. November 22, 2009 (Sunday) there was a passing of a 37 year old that fit the “good-guy-not-hero-guy” mold, that I include myself in. His name was Bryan Shaw.

SHAW, Bryan

SHAW Bryan G., loving son of Markay (nee High) and Roger Schoumacher, dear brother of Chip (Devon) and Chris (Kristin) Schoumacher, Luann (Greg) Clancy and Sean Hauck, grandson of Dorothy and the late Harry High and the late Elmer and Donna Schoumacher, also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. Suddenly Sunday, November 22, 2009, age 37. Visitation at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. (Rt. 42), West Chester, Saturday from 12 noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Bryan Shaw Foundation, C/O Key Bank Eastgate, 4565 Eastgate Blvd., Cincinnati, OH 45245. Condolences to hodappfuneralhome.com.

He played a lot of Softball, and that’s where I met him many years ago. He was brash, and cocky and a lot of other things too. He was also a solid dude and while he might not have always done/said the “right” thing, he meant to. I saw a lot of my (younger) self in this guy. He’d go out of his way to make you laugh. Now, he’ll be missed. If you knew him, leave a note here.

PHAHQ!…..Are we done squeezing these freakin’ lemons already?……MOVE ON, eh?!!!!.

Tragic deaths, both of them,…well, not so much for the kiddie porn guy,..sorry, but Pedophiles fail on the ol’respect-o-meter (did you see anywhere on there, about porking young boys, REPEATEDLY!?!?!), in my World; Whether they can sing and dance or not! Yeah, WHAT?…You don’t categorically excuse a twice charged sexual predator JUST because he redefined a segment of the MUSIC World?!?!?!  WOW,…maybe I’m the insane one, huh?…After all, HE SANG AND DANCED, SANG AND DANCED!!!!, if that’s not enUFf to clear the slate, WHAT IS, right? I think being a singer and dancer, he should also be able to hold his very young children playfully over a railing at some hotel he’s staying in…sure!…HE SANG AND DANCED, PEOPLE!….that gives a guy some HEAVY extra rights!…..(see sarcasm)

Surgeons, Fireman, Police Officers, and the proud members of our military are people worthy of respect based on what they do, alone. Still, no one is above approach. Singers?….Football Players?….certainly NOT on profession alone. Both of these over-celebrated men did a lot within their respected “fields”, given, and should be (and HAVE been) properly noted for that. Its not that they shouldn’t be properly sent off, just enUFf is enUFf already. Christ, to hear the Double-Homicide killer Ray-Ray “PREACHER-man” Lewis tell it, McNair made mother teresa look like a Candy Striper. (Yeah THIS KIND, not THIS KIND….)

Farrah Fawcet got like 4 minutes…..these two guys got more coverage than CNN produced for either Gulf War!…and the hokey-ass crap people spewed on about them: Particularly “Reverand Ray-Ray“….I threw up after hearing him talk, then took an insulin shot just to cover my bases…Shit!, he’s a Bullshitter! (and a Double-homicide killer who paid off the families of the dead )…and of course, a top 5 Media Whore!(Favre is #4, of course.)

Hey, again, respect where due, for sure,…But MJ boofed little boys, and McNair was in his “hide-a-whore” Condo with ONE Mistress, while she stewed about the thought he was keeping another extramarital love interest. Making this guy out to being Father-of-the-Year, just wont work. Nor will sugar-coating or avoiding the issues surrounding how he died. He did NOT “deserve” to die for his ‘sins”….NO WAY!…He does deserve mention for  a very proud, 13 year Pro career that included a shared MVP and 3 Pro Bowls – YES. However, it doesn’t REALLY matter in a time like this, does it?….yet its exploited as if it was pivotal in him passing.

Now Ron Artest has some “F*CKED” up reasoning for choosing his jersey number with the Lakers…#37 was for how many weeks Thriller was the #1 selling album?…and that it was the #1 selling album,…and how HE’S #1 by wearing #37…??….can ANY of that make sense?….Sounds like one of those Nostradamus fans working in some obscure angle into any life situation….We’ve all had people/family close to us pass, and its never accepted well. Still, making them out to be MORE than they were, doesn’t help!
