“Big Game” game this week #1: An SEC/Big10-12 match-up in “Nappy Valley”, Pennsylvania. #2 (ranked) Alabama visits “The Beeeev” to play Joe-Boo’z #20 ranked Nappy-Lions!

I’m gonna break with traditional Big10/12 bashing for a game, and say I think this game “could” be close! Alabama did a terrific job against lowly Kent State last week, holding them to (-9) yards rushing. “Golden QB” Spencer Keith (and the RB’s) had more face-to-face encounter’s with the uber-talented ‘Bammer linebackers than he generally does with his girlfriend(s)!…ok, or boyfriend(s), (got to be “pc” you know!). On the other sideline, Bammer didn’t get a whole lot out of AJ McCarron or Phil Sims’ kid…(Phil Jr); – The 2-headed QB monster had a Saban-enraging 1 TD pass and 4 INT’s between them. The C-Tide got a lot of production from their ground game and that amazingly strong (yes, again) defense, so!…-They didn’t NEED much out of the QB’s, still, it could be a factor if Pa-Joe (yes, I know) and the Lions can make it tough in between the Tackles. The Raging Saban’s will leave with the win, but I dont think its gonna be as easy at some are predicting, and wouldn’t be surprised if it goes to the Saban-shouting Half, darn close. Of course, knowing what is possible you can’t rule out a thorough ass-whoop by the half either -I just suspect that that wont be the case: Bammer 31 – PenniStateU 12.

“Big Game” game of this week #2: USF’s bitches (ND), vs UMichy. This one will be played at The Big House, aka: The Horseshoe North! Yeah, The Bucks own it of late!

WHAT in the name of Lisp’n Lou Holtz was going on in South Bend last weekend!?!?….Rain, turnovers, Brian “Asshat” Kelly screaming at his fundamentally un-sound wide receiver (#7) TJ Jones, and gut-wrenching penalties? Michigan will KILL them, right?…..Nah!

A little reality, on the loss; Notre Dame DID turnover the ball, a lot! - 5 times in fact!…THREE times in or in front of the end zone, negating prime scoring opp’s and (on the first one) handing “Da Bullssshh” a TD (via a big return). The Irish put up a Kelly-esque 500+ yards of offense, though some was in classic Jimmy Clausen fashion, when they HAD to throw. Add in 8 penalties (unlike a Kelly team) and you have a formula for destruction by even the best teams! Hats off to USF though,….-Traveling to South Bend, dealing with their own limited QB, riding out the “storm)s)”, contending with a rabid fan base, and dealing with their own early season jitters! After all, they DID win the game -and, they were able to score when they needed to. They also got the stops on defense when it mattered!

Will The Wolverines find the Irish as hapless? Chances are “NO!”, but kinda! Michy will win this one, sending Brian “PurpleHelmet-Face” Kelly back home at 0-2. Why will Michy win?…-For one they have a supremely talented QB, an upgraded offense from what he Bulls have right now, and “two” because they’ll sorta tie explosive ND wr Mikey Floyd up! No, not like Doc does with his “sheep” friends, but in the figurative sense.

USF probably has more team speed than UMichy, but they left Floyd free to roam because USF has no lock-down corner anymore; – at least no one in the mold of Mike Jenkins (2008 draft class) or Jerome Murphy (2010). Michigan should be able to limit his impact a bit more, but they cannot shut him down!

ND QB Tommy Rees will not be the “Amazing Grace” he was late last week, and my bet is Duh-Duh-Dayne Crist will play some in the 2nd half -out of need!  Floyd will not find the pickin’z so easy in Michigan this weekend, but he’ll have a big game; – it just wont be enough to win. He will find the end zone (once) and might have some nfl mouth watering stats, but it wont = a win! Brady Hoke makes his “first” big-ish game a memorable one, winning 41-38 in yet another classic ND/UM match-up. The chants for OSU blood will echo well into the dinner hour, in Ann Arbor…..much to the laughter of buck-nut fans.

THE BIGGEST THING THAT WONT HAPPEN this weekend: #1 Oklahoma will NOT play, in advance of their show-down at Booby Bowden Field (in Tallahassee, FL) on Sept. 17th……The 2nd biggest thing that wont happen, Boise State will also ‘not” play this weekend, in front of their daring match-up with Toledo on Friday night (09.16.11) 6 days after the Rockets play Ohio State! yeah, imagine you’re Toledo, preparing for OSU, then on a short week you get BSU! FUN!

Other notable game this week(end): Oklahomo State/Arizona (thur), South Carolina/Georgia, Missy State/Auburn, Mizzu/Arizona St, TCU/Air Force and Texas/BYU!!…..Dont forget the VINOKLET Art & Wine Festival is this weekend too!….11069 Colerain Ave, Cinti, OH 45252 if you have to gps it!

PAC12 on life-support already?

The News of the PAC12′s demise was GREATLY detailed, here:

Thanks for playing, Pac-12. We’ll see you next year.

The Pac-12’s signature team can not lose to the SEC on the biggest stage in the opening game of the year.

In 2011, with the SEC owning the world, Oregon’s performance and the loss to LSU signaled the end of the Pac-12 season when it comes to anything more than watching highlights of Andrew Luck. Oregon gave the fans of the other BCS leagues a reason to tune-out the Pac-12, and
they’ll be more than happy to do so.

It’s not fair, and it’s not right, but if a league’s top team doesn’t win its big game against the SEC, the league simply doesn’t matter anymore on a national scale. Feel free to disagree, and
then be sure to take note of what percentage of time and energy is spent over the next three months discussing Boise State.

Oh sure, Stanford will be strong behind The Architect, who might be the signature player of the 2011 season, but find anyone outside of Palo Alto who believes this is a team that
can run the table.

Arizona State is loaded with veterans, Arizona played well in its opener, and California was terrific against Fresno State, but it doesn’t matter. Oregon lost to LSU, and that’s it.

Stanford or Oregon will most likely play in the Rose Bowl, and both teams are good enough to beat anyone the Big Ten flies in, but going to Pasadena isn’t the same as going to
New Orleans with everything on the line.

The Ducks will be outstanding throughout the rest of the season, but with losses in the last four really, really big games – Boise State in the 2009 opener, the 2010 Rose Bowl against
Ohio State, the 2011 BCS Championship to Auburn, and the 2011 opener against LSU
– there’s little to no chance of selling the college football world on giving them a shot at the national title this year.

With the loss on Saturday night, combined with UCLA’s toe-stubbing performance against Houston, USC’s struggle at home against Minnesota, Washington’s close call against Eastern Washington, Oregon State’s embarrassment against Sacramento State, and Colorado’s loss at Hawaii, the conference took a major PR hit that won’t turn around.

There’s no such thing as an East Coast bias; there’s just a regional ignorance.

That about sums it up!…Thanks CollegeFootballnews.com guys!…PAC12′ers will cry foul, or,..maybe just cry!?…but, they had a chance to prove themselves, just failed!….again!

PAC12 lead man, Kelly, admits the obvious….

Oregon Football Coach Chip Kelly SEC Southeastern Conference

…”Yeah, I guess I feel a “little” like OSU….You wanna go spoon in the locker-room?”…

Oregon Head Coach Chip Kelly acknowledged after the loss to LoSerU that the Tigers (and the SEC) simply have another caliber of athlete. Kelly pointed categorically to the defensive linemen, during his praise, which isn’t all that surprising, considering the beating they’ve taken in consecutive games vs the Auburn defensive line and now that impressive LoSerU defensive line Saturday night!

“They got a little bit different athlete running  around out there,” he said. “Look at their defensive linemen. Standing  next to them, walking off the field, they don’t look like a lot of the  guys we see. That’s the common trait.”

The quote is the realization of what most SEC fans already know: You can’t beat top SEC teams with the finesse Pac-12 play that works ‘out west”. You might be able to run circles around the athletes of the Pac-12; — but, when you face a top SEC team you face real athletes on both sides of the ball. Some know, some will need to learn this yet!

Doesn’t the “C” in TCU stand for Christian?…

College Football: BSU’s one game season is over!

Boise State has played their “One-Game” schedule already, and, well, they won! This means, as few will argue, that they have proved all they’ve needed to prove, for the 2011 season! They will be placed in the National Title game, because they did the impossible!…They beat Georgia!

Yes, I’m one sarcastic Mother-Focker!

Florida-Georgia Football.png

Since 1990, The Florida Gators have beaten “Jawja” 18 times! Yup!…18-3 in the last 21 meetings. In EACH of those years, however, the Gators had to play a number of ranked teams, IN ADDITION to playing the “dawgs”. In fact, at NO TIME during this span, was beating Georgia an auto-birth into the Final!

Now, Boise State plays one ranked team a year, and INSTANTLY is anointed by sports writer’s (and some fans) as having “busted the BCS”!

Last year Boise State was able to beat Virgina Tech in the seasons opener; -by a VERY close margin. That same VTech team lost to James Madison the week after….JAMES FREAKIN MADISON!…Did that discount their ascension up the ranks? HECK NO! Some idiots even said BSU’s beat down of VTech was a hang-over that caused them to lose to James Madison!…WHAT A RIOT!

Imagine if Texas, Florida, OSU, Okly, or any top 20 team LOST to James Madison, what the recoil would be on them! Not only would THEIR hopes of a Title be dashed, but their rep as a stepping stone to that Title game would be spoiled as well!

Yet a team like VTech (who has won one less National Title than Georgia) loses to James Madison, they are still credited as being THE team you have to beat to get there!?? Really?

I appreciate what Frank Beamer has done in Blacksburg, but they haven’t even MADE a Title game, much less been hired as the CFB Gate-Keeper to the BCS Title game. Seems that anyone of merit that Boise State plays, of late, is given this supreme honor though!??

Fast-forward to the CFB 2011 season, and: Georgia, ranked pre-season #19/#22 in the two ”big” polls, is somehow the ONLY qualification one needs to get BSU into the Title-talk!??? A pre-season #5/#7 team beats a #19/#22 team, and that’s BIG NEWS?……Hey, hats off to BSU for the win; -Great job! But, having that win cement their spot in a Title game?…NO FREAKIN WAY!

Had Boise State fans been up in arms in the 14 seasons where FLORIDA beat Georgia, and DIDN’T get invited to the Natty Title game,…then maybe I could be more supportive of them now. BSU fans, its just not enough! You purposely joined another cream-puff conference, because you want to avoid playing more than one tough game a year…-and you shouldn’t be rewarded for that!

From “Flutie Flakes” to “Freaky Flakes”, Doug seems to have the market cornered.

Seems like all the bitches go to New England, first Ocho-Cinco, now Alexa flutie.
