…Who’d have guessed a diet of Coke, booze, and an endless Hooker buffet would be BAD for you?….Charlie Sheen, aka; Carlos Estevez!

I have to admit, I’ve seen parts of 5-6 episodes of “Two and a 1/2 men”….so, maybe this dude has been loose in the head for some time now??? If not, he’s sure in full-blown head-f*cked mode now!

The Guy needs to, maybe, take a break?…Perhaps we here at FGS can get him a stunt double? I have some vacation time coming….-just saying; I’ll “do” a couple weeks as “Charlie”; -call my agent/barber!

A Hack, like Tracy McGrady, who is a horrible team-mate; and a HUGE reason why teams he plays on have never won a playoff-series, laughs at his coach?

No one gets along with everyone, all the time….But damn, MR “It-takes-35-shots-to-score-23 points”, show a little freakin pride. You copped out of the game because you had a “headache” (and was, no doubt, on his period too), and your team is down 10 points!?…But you laugh when the Coach gets tossed….F’n NBA, it is FANtastic, indeed.

Bubba Watson Bulldog's to win

The only other time J.B. Holmes played in the Match Play Championship, Tiger Woods rallied to beat him. This time, Holmes beat himself. In the field as an alternate when Tim Clark withdrew, Holmes blew a 5-up lead with eight holes to play in a 19-hole loss to Bubba Watson in the quarterfinals on Saturday.

”It’s golf. It happens,” Holmes said. “It happens every year to somebody. It hurts a little bit, but I’ll get over it. … I didn’t finish it off. He played well and I gave him a couple, too. I didn’t hit the shots when I needed them.” After birdieing No. 10 to take the 5-up lead, Holmes tried to play it safe on the par-5 11th, using a 3-wood instead of a driver.

But the long-hitting Holmes hit the 3-wood too well, blasting a 380-yard drive that ran through the fairway and stopped against a plant in a rocky desert wash. He got too much club on his recovery shot, too, sending it across the fairway into a bunker. Two shots later, he still wasn’t on the green and conceded the hole to Watson, waiting patiently to play his third shot from just off the front of the green.

Watson then won Nos. 13-15 and drew even when Holmes drove left on 18 and hit his approach into the desert short and left of the elevated green. On the 19th hole — the par-4 10th — Holmes hit a 370-yard drive that sailed right and into the desert. After taking a penalty drop, Holmes salvaged bogey, but Watson ended the match with a 3-foot par putt.

”I wasn’t even in until Tuesday, so I’ll take it as a good week,” said Holmes, who beat Camilo Villegas, Ernie Els and Jason Day to reach the quarterfinals. “Obviously, I’m disappointed with the way it finished, but it happens.” In 2008 in the first round against Woods, Holmes was 3-up with five to go, but Woods won five more matches to take the title.

SEE!?!?!?!…Golf lives on without Tiger!….

The hidden BALL trick, BC?…you fell for the HIDDEN BALL TRICK?!?!

OUCH!…following a game tying triple, too?…MAN!, that’ll stay with a guy for a while!

Florida’s baseball players had seen it fail so many times during inter-squad games that they never thought it would work.

“We took all the momentum back,” starter Hudson Randall said of the play. “They were dead in their shoes after that play.”

It was too much of a gimmick and too easy to spot.

Well, not if two freshmen tried to execute it

The ole’ hidden-ball trick, adored by high schoolers and a fun way to make practices interesting, is a rarity at the college level, but Florida freshmen Zack Powers and Daniel Gibson dared to use it at a critical time Friday night.

After Gibson gave up a two-run, two-out triple to Boston College shortstop Brad Zapenas in the top of the seventh that tied the game at 3, Powers began to execute the trick at third.

Instead of immediately tossing the ball to Gibson, he faked a throw as Zapenas celebrated his hit. Gibson slowly made his way to the mound, but never touched it. As soon as Zapenas stepped off third, Powers tagged him, ending the inning and extinguishing BC’s momentum.

Top-ranked Florida (6-0) then stole that momentum and piled on six runs over the seventh and eighth innings to clinch the series with a 9-3 win over the Eagles (2-3)

Sometimes its the simple things in Baseball, that make ya love this game!!!! BC heads south to play the Red Sox in a Saturday game, before heading back to Gainesville for Sunday’s final game.

Dont look now, Nancy Haters, but UC is now better than HUGGINS' bunch!

DePaul 1 14 .067 7 20 .259 Lost 2

The eventual winner of the F4 is probably not coimg from the BigEast, but this conference is BRUTAL! Mick Cronin’s bunch weathered a stretch of bad basketball (with Yancy Gates was in the dog-house) to come out of it by beating L’ville and G’Town! There are 3 tUFf games before the tourney (Sunday vs UConn, @Marquette, and Georgetown), but UC could go 2-1 in those games, and stay set up strong going into the post-season!

Huggy-Chicken and the Mountain men have tomorrow’s game at Rutgers, then finish with two home games against UConn (midweek) and L’Ville next Saturday. Think a 1-2 finish for them! IF that happens?, Thy end up 9-9 in conference, and 18-12 overall. IF that is the case, they’ll need some Huggy-magic to get in what still looks to be a soft field! Hooo-HA!

College Football "PICKS"!..

The EARLY-early look at the 2011 College Pre-Pre-season Top teams…Its never too early to think NCAA Football, is it?

Does anyone think there WONT be another SEC team favored to with a Title this year?……Yeah, a lot will be HOPING against it, but would anyone throw their nutts into the pot on a bet? Probably not!

TOP FIVE: LoSerU, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon,

LoSerU, and Alabama might be the top two SEC teams heading into the Summer…andI say “Summer” because a lot can happen over the Summer, to change things. Still, both LoSerU and ‘Bammer have QB issues to hash out For LoSerU they have Jordan Jefferson, (Sr), Jarrett Lee (Sr), and soph. Zach Mettenberger. Alabama has last year’s back-up, AJ McCarron (So), and Phil Sims- who is a red-frosh. Alabama might be the one who would be more likely to handle the change, though, because less would be asked of their QB. Nick Satan requires you to be a robot, who doesn’t do much, other than NOT make mistakes. Even with Julio Jonee off to the NFL, they’ll have a solid 1-2 punch at wr, and they have a Mark Ingram replacement in Trent Richardson. This guy could easily be in New York next December, for that presentation ceremony they hold at The Downtown Athletic Club.

LoSerU has two Seniors that will battle for the job, but they were 107th nationally in passing efficiency last year. That might mean that the “not-so-typical” sophomore, Z-Mett, who isn’t your every-day 2nd year player, might be a factor! After he was “excused” from his original team, Georgia, he went to the Mecca of Comm College teams –Butler (KS) CC, where he lit it up. Sure, it was CC ball, but  he was highly regarded when he first signed with “Jawja”! However the battle shakes out, none of the three QB’s will have Stevan Ridley to draw in defenses and make their life easier. The bruising Ridley chose to take his 1200+ yards and tUFf inside running to the NFL….-possibly a little earlier than he should have???

OSU has an issue for the first 4-5 games. The Tattood “5” are required to sit out five games, but word has it they will probably only serve a 4 game suspension. The Buck-nutts first 4 games are: Akron(H), Toledo(H), duh U(A), and Colorado(H)…The 5th game is the start of the Big10/11/12 slate, and features ANOTHER home game, with Michy State. (This MSU team will NOT be as good as the 2010 team was.) UC would be 5-0 at this point, so even w/o Pryor and the others there’s nothing to fear here! Game 6, though, could be where the lack of games played might be a problem. Game 6 is when they visit Lincoln,NE and the “on-the-rise” BIG RED. The Cornhuskers should be hungry, and will be looking to make a big impression on their new conference mates. OSU will be the better team, but “N” has a shot. Eventually Nebraska should provide regular competition for the buck-eyes, something this conference hasn’t seen in some time. The rest of the OSU schedule: @Illinois, Wiscony, Indy, @Purdue, PENNiState, and @ Michy –then onto Indy for the Title game, where Nebraska and OSU could meet again! Short of Nebraska knocking them out (once), this is another BCS game season for Tressy and his really cool vest!

Okly and The “Nike Ducks”: Stoops and Okly should roll thru the Big12/10, because TexASS should be another year away from claiming back what was once theirs. Texas A&M (who still wants to join the SEC) might be the only other team that has a shot at keeping it close, with Okly. The rest of this conference, T-Tech, Okly State, Iowa State, Baylor, Kansas, Mizzu and K-State,…just have no chance! not in Football! — Oregon,…they play in the PAC10. The BEST team in the PAC10 is USC…The Trojans….the team who is serving penalties in basketball AND Football…and has a Head Coach in Football, who will be punished (again) by the NCAA for MORE infractions!….HE!, Lame Kiffin, cam from a school (UTenn) who’s basketball and FOOTball team, will be dealing with sanctions of their own! A connection?…Seems like it. (side note: Tim Floyd, former dismissed Head Coach of the USC basketball team, made the news again….something like a leaf, and not falling far…?? Anyway, Oregon should be the favorite, but of the top 5 listed here, they might have the longest odds!….Stanford might have another good year in ‘em(???), USC could be good, and Cal could play a good game once in a while….Newbie’s Colorado and Utah?…ppppfft, not this year!

One of these 5 will be in the BCS Title game….the other?…Alabama/LoSerU vs Okly is my bet. With the SEC taking their 6th Title in a row! Maybe after 6 in a row, other fans will HAVE to admit, that just maybe, the SEC is that good! Certainly if The Big10\11\12 were on a 5 Title run, we’d be expected to acknowledge the fact!

College Football Trivia question: How many National Titles does the Big10 have, since 1970?

Adam Wainwright,

Adam Wainwright

the Cardinals’ 20 game winner/pitching phee-nom will miss the 2011 season, whilst having TJ surgery!…With Ally “McBeal” Poo-holes still wondering who the HELL is going to give him 30 mil a year (times 10), The Cards might be out as lead contender for the National League West Crown!

In steps the “did-nothing-this-off-season” REDS!…well, they didn’t offer Laynce Nix, but…WE GOT FRED (Lewis)!!!!!

Wainwright was 50-22 over the last 3 years, with an era around 2.60…and treated the Reds like “Doc” gets treated at Denny’s!….Like he HATED them! The Reds will have NO REASON, not to return to the Post-season,…Where, the Phillies will kick the living piss out of them- AGAIN!…But, they should BE in the Post-season!…..yeeeeaaahhhh!

Kenny Boynton led four double-figure scorers with 18 points as No. 13 Florida clinched a share of the SEC East title with a 71-62 win over Georgia at the O’Connell Center.

With the victory, Florida clinched the top seed in the East for the upcoming SEC Tournament.

Senior forward Chandler Parsons, back from a hip bruise, added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists off the bench. Erving Walker scored 15 points, and Alex Tyus had 12 points.

Florida (22-5, 11-2 SEC) rallied from an 11-point, first-half deficit to win its sixth straight. Florida is now three games ahead of second place Vanderbilt in the SEC East. But even if Vanderbilt wins out, Florida would win the East because of a better division record.

Florida has 3 regular season games games left; AT UKentucky this Saturday, at Home against SEC co-leader Alabama(who is Coached by Billy Donvan disciple Anthony Grant) who hasn’t won an SEC Title since 1991, and then the regular season final AT Vandy.
