There is no UFreakin' justice in this World!
Reports out of ESPN say Fat-ass Chunky Weis is heading to Gainesville to be the new O-corr for the Gators!…..how in the HELL does that happen? Can’t that moronic fail of a College idiot just stay the HELL away from this game?….Can’t the KC Chiefs keep him swimming in cheeseburgers for the rest of his tub-o-goo existence?
Why does this happen to me????…..laugh it up, Jerkasses!
Tressel is leaving tOSU?…hahahahaha!
What, now he thinks he’s Urban Meyer? pppffftt, not even close!
Reports out of Chicago?…Chicago?,….suggested that Jimbo Tressy was leaving Ohio State!….The collective “HA-HA” wasn’t even finished be muttered yet, before this silly-ass rumor was quashed!….OSU AD Gene Smith has assured egg-nog drinkers that The Vest will be bashing Big10 opponents (sans newbie Nebraska) and FASHION sense, as usual, for the Luckeyes in 2011….though he said nothing about “beyond”…?????
It does make you think though,….When does Tressy say its enUFf?…When is he too old to stay at it, and who’s next in line. After all, few out there today are Joe Pa types. Maybe he thinks THIS time, as a favorite, against an SEC team is it!…And once he’s exercised that demon he can “go quietly into that good night?”….That Chicken ain’t hatched yet Jimmy!
Few hate retirement, and the thought of enjoying the fruits of their labor. Personally, I’ll be losing golf balls at a record rate starting 15 minutes after I’m eligible for retirement! I may (or, may HAVE to) stay on at CostCo as a greeter for the terrific pay and Health Care benefits, but! – past that I’m playing golf, sneaking booze onto the course, and cheating on my scorecard ad nauseum!
Tressy is, what, 58 now?….He’s got a few more years in him, if he WANTS!….It is worth, EASY, another 32 million to stay on at his current gig….–and what a gig, too. He gets better players than anyone in his conference (once again, sans newbie Nebraska!) and he already owns a “non-way-they’ll-fire-me-ever” status in Columbus! He could walk around with his dick hanging out his fly, draped in animal skins and cheap hookers, while drinking Moonshine all afternoon…– and few would question him, or ask him to stop!…And, after all, isn’t that what we ALL want?!?! -The additional 32 million would be all gravy and pain-killers after that!
OK, so I guess its possible that this is a media-inspired gaff, to impose the thought that “maybe” Tressel would have other things to do;– or that he has value to some one outside Columbus…(he doesn’t!). Its not that he’s not an elite level Coach, its just that at 58 he’s gonna have restrictions on where he’d go…or, where he “could” go. Then again, since the rumors started in Chicago, semi-home to that cerebral institution Northwestern, maybe this is a clever ploy to sway a recruit or two?…hahahahahahahahha!…yeah, like they’re going after the same kids!
Anyway, its back to the egg-nog for me!…I sure was worried he was actually leaving!….To, uh, go Head Coach the Bungles…who happen to have an un-extended Head Coach THERE!,…who, uh, might have had enUFf of a certain ASSHOLE Owner by now???…..yeah, I know!…Enjoy your egg-nog!
The Rag-quirer asks, is "The Curtain falling on Chad Show?"…
First off, its appropriate that they worded it as a “show”, since that’s all this guy has ever been about! Helping himself, and making the game(and team) into a show for him- all the while compromising the team’s chances. On 31 other NFL teams, this approach would have gotten even a semi-talented player booted. Here in Cincinnati, though, it means he’s a celebrated player who has lasted a decade!
Even the “ass of all asses”, Terrel Owens, didn’t stay on teams who, themselves, boasted of being teams that took on asshole players, and tried and groom them into players that help the machine run. TO, for example, was moved from San Fran, Philly, Dallas, and even bUFfalo, before he landed here. Now, TO, to his credit, was always a tireless worker who kept himself healthy by AVOIDING McDonalds food, and spent every season “working out”,…not just one, like Chud. He also didn’t look to make a news splash of the lone effort he undertook,….once! TO is an ASS, a super-ass even, and not the type of player I “like” much….but, he is a certain Hall of Famer, and he works a lot. He also benefits the team he’s palying for, right up until he decides he’s not happy anymore;…Then, well, he’s often on the move at that point.
TO is 37 (will be 38 in December of next season) and will be looking for bigger money in 2011. After the numbers he put up here, he will get more offers than the ONE he got last year. Sure, he loves playing lover-boy to Chud, but he’ll take the money and run next season….Good riddance, I say. His next year will unlikely be as good as this one he just had.
BUT!, back to the Enquirer’s stupid head-line about this being Chud’s last year…..Unless Mike Brown gets smacked on his thinning head (and REALLY REALLY hard), Chud will have ONE more year in Cincy…– and THAT!, will likely be Chud’s last in Cincy and the NFL. My celebration will be short-lived as he’s just the ass-hole ESPN is looking for to get in a booth. Again, what Chud has been “working” on for at least the last 6 years as a “player”! Time better spent on Chud as the individual, and not Chud the member of a “TEAM”! The TEAM was/is just the vehicle he’s driving to the after-life (of sports), and nothing more.
Again though, why 2011 will be Chud’s last, and NOT 2010; Mike Brown never pays players (or coaches) to leave early….Discount Antonio Bryant, because he just flat-out duped MB and that crack Bungles “staff”! Making them believe he could still run on that knee of his. Kudo’s to Mr Bryant, but I’d still look over my shoulder for the next few years just to be safe. Chad’s “option”(that kinda stretches to the limit, the definition of “option”, huh?) is 6 million!…imo, 5.5 mil more than he’s worth. But, there is a market value system at work here too. His “option” also states that’s he’s owed 3.5 million if the Bungles don’t “exercise” it! Yeah, meaning that his replacement will have to make less than 2.5 million for Mikey to break even! Translation: There’s NOT A CHANCE he will be leaving Cincy for the 2011 season. Advancing the thought; Can the crack(er)-ass staff at the Cincy Enquirer be that blind?…that stupid?, or that desperate to fill their paper with flUFf? I’m betting its a combo of all three.
Andre Caldwell is ready now, and he’ll need to be to help Jordan Shipley replace TO’s production. Jerome Simpson is NOT ready, but will need to be in 2012 when Chud does leave…and, I can consider going back to Bengal games!
Caldwell, Shipley and Simpson could be as good as the Bungles need to be competitive in their division (with a BIG part of the duties falling on our young star TE!, of course!). Look at what Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cleveland are using at wide out; -particularly Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Caldwell is our speed guy (like Wallace in Pitt). With a little work, the fast learning Shipley can be our Anquan Boldin! Jerome Simpson, should he click next year, would be a low mileage 3rd option. If that doesn’t pan out, dump him and draft a guy….very likely this year. Just not anyone who lists Chud Ocho-bleep-o as an idol!
Let’s face it, the Bengals are never going to be a team that wins a lot, often, or consistently….Mikey Brown wont allow it. Even once he falls into the anal-pits of Hell, Katie has promised to run things the same way. So, hit and miss (and miss, and miss, and miss) seasons are what we’ll live with here. Carson Palmer is NOT an All-Pro, but he doesn’t have to be! Most All-Pro QB’s wont come here anyway, so why dismiss him? He’s servicable until Cam Newton signs,…and, knowing Mikey Brown, that’ll be sometime in 2013! (I know, I know, its just a joke!). That and Cam wont ever sign-on to play here! His Dad would never allow it!
So, 2012 may be “the” next up tick year in Bengal football!….Carson Palmer will likely be under the gun from our “new” QB, for the privilege to throw to 4 legit players who will be far better than what we’ve had ’round here in a long while! Caldwell, Shipley, Simpson and Gresham! Throw in our (new) 2nd Running Back….its a trend, and there could be competitive football in this town again!….well, for a year anyway!
Oh, and I’m reserved to thinking Marvin Lewis will be back too. Sure, in other towns he’d have been cut loose a long time ago…But here?, with his hands tied the way they are, who could “do” anymore? -Collectively I mean. He should manage the clock, his red flags, and the time-outs better. He also should be a bit more militant in challenging his players on Sunday’s. No one on this team ever pays a price for a mistake; (but) I’m gonna say that he doesn’t have the authority to sit a clown, though…only Mikey does.
So, 2010 was an embarrassment year for the organization (I know!, so have a great many others, under Mike Brown!)…as many negatives came to light this year. However, since management knows there is a SUPER-forgiving fan base here, they aren’t going to sweat it. So, 2011 will be a 7-9 season. We will, once again, play a bad teams’ schedule, and win at least seven games.
Then in 2012, once Chud is gone, the QB can just make throws where he wants to (and not give asshole Chud 60% of the first “looks”). Offensivley speaking there’s reason to be thinking about enjoying a legit playoff run. Gresham and Simpson will be heavy contributors, and, along with Pro-Bowlers Andre Caldwell and Jordan Shipley should be quite offesive. The Rushing attack will take off because not ALL the wr’s will be running routes straight at cameras (which is why Chud REALLY gets shut-down in games) anymore. The Bungle defense should be serviceable once again, even strong at times! Like is was pre-Mike Brown…..This should last for a year, anyway, then;…well, you know.
Terrelle Pryor trumps The Vest?
OSU Coach “Vest” (aka: Boring Jim Tressel) has failed to tap the physical gifts of T-Pryor in 3 years, producing only mediocre stats on a team that out-recruits the other 10 conference teams 4-1! So, perhaps queueing off his Coach -it appears Pryor will go about damaging his draft stock TOO!
(From The Sporting News:) — Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor will sit out the first five games of the 2011 season due to receiving discounted services –- a violation of NCAA rules—which will ultimately further hurt his draft stock going forward for two reasons.
The first is that the guy simply broke the rules. He thought he was above the law, tried to get away with something he knew was wrong and will now have to answer questions from NFL scouts concerning his overall maturity level. And sure, it’s not like he got busted with drugs or killed someone, but the facts are this is a mark against the guy’s off the field character and for someone who wants to be the face of the franchise and be an NFL quarterback, this is not the type of trouble you want following around your potential signal caller.
The second concern is that Pryor will miss the first five games of the season and that’s valuable reps he will be missing where he could have been in the game getting better at his trade. As athletic as he is, he’s still a major work in progress as a quarterback, not only from a mental standpoint, but also from a mechanics standpoint as well. And despite how much work he puts in during the offseason, these are five games he will never get back during a pivotal time where he needs to show some improvement to NFL personnel if he hopes to play quarterback in the league.
Overall, I didn’t think he had what it took to be a franchise signal caller before all this went down. And now with another reason to worry about him from a character standpoint, plus the fact he won’t be playing, developing and maturing during the early part of the 2011 season, not only would I not draft the guy as a quarterback, I don’t know if I would even take a shot on him as an athlete until the late portions of the draft.
He just doesn’t seem worth the risk to me.
Terrelle Pryor was a walking Heisman Trophy when he pimped his services, coming out of High School. He couldn’t commit between PENniState, UMichy and tOSU…..He was(is) tall, physical, speedy, and has a strong arm! Buckeyes everywhere figured not only was he a cant miss Heisman winner (each of the last 3 years)m but certainly HE would be the guy to snap the win-less streak against the (now) hated SEC!
He should have been, too! He picked the right Big10 School too, of course; Though Michy was more suited for him, most now say. Michy might not have provided him with the wins he figured it would take to become a first round pick though. OSU, without any real competition in conference, would! Sadly, he didn’t figure on Tressy-ball hanging on him like a wife!
To date his biggest stat date was against Oregon in last years Bowl game, and….Despite opening the season as nearly everyone’s Heisman LOCK, he didn’t even make the trip to New York. He’s a valuable player and QB for the Buckeyes, but there are 15-20 QB’s alone that have done better and could have had the Buckeyes right where they are right now. Well, sans this messy little violations thingy. In short, he was suppose to be everything Cam Newton is, and has become down at Auburn.
It can be argued that Auburn is maybe 7-5 or 8-4 w/o Mr Newton….Could Pryor have been that dynamic at Michigan by this, his Junior year? Auburn’s defense isn’t quite as porous ar Michy’s, but teams have scored on them. THe reason they are where they are, is because of Newton and the offense! “Jizz-ic” (given: Gene Chizik) is riding newton to the Promised land, could Dick Rod have done the same thing? Could Terrelle have (given the op to play in a system he was born to play in)? Pryor wants to be the face of OSU, but you have to think he’s wondering is he made a mistake, playing Tressy-ball.
I know its hard for OSU fans to 2nd guess or even question their HBC, but once Pryor has moved on — I bet they start to wonder a little….as may the next “Terrelle Pryor”?
Merry Christmas!
Dont forget that the FatGuySports tee’s and Calendars make great stocking stUFfers!…They’ll also help you remove stockings, if properly applied!
A 19-17 win?, this means all is forgiven!
All is right once again in Bungle-land. Beating the Super Bowl bound Browns is all the proof I need, to declare the slump, OVER! Re-assume your lavish praise of everything Bengal once again! The future is bright, and “next” year, for sure, its a deep run into the Playoffs!
Not only are they making the run, “next year”, but they can do it without making any moves! Just go to the draft, sign a name-player 1/2 the town recognizes from the College ranks, and the excitement of Mikey-boys 21st season will kick-off like all the rest have!
57,000 fans sat in on the latest version of the Battle of Ohio….for two teams that now share 6 wins -(not counting the two against each other). One team has a chance, the other is our lovable gaffs, the Bengals! Still they were there. This is further proof winning isn’t important to the fans in this town,…sad as that sounds. More will buy into the non-move moves made by Mikey this off-season, and the numbers will be back up again by Opening Day 2011. Maybe we’ll sign more players past their primes, who other teams refused to retain…giving us that sense that because they have names we know, that’ll mean we’ll be MUCH better! It happened this year, and the drones drank it in AGAIN!
Ultimately, this is why Mikey doesn’t hire a GM, or delegate priorities beyond his abilities. He knows the sheep will be back…so, a few games didn’t officially sell-out…those seats dont mean so much. He has zero football sense, but he’s not stupid across the board!
If the town wants a loser, so be it….If winning is always “just for the other guys”, OK!…Just stop being so surprised EVERY year when it happens! …and get use to the Pittsburgh fans owning your asses!
Delany and the BIG10 want a mulligan!
The BIG-”something”(They’re gonna keep using “Big10″, because they see it as a “Brand Name”) added a twelfth team this past year (Nebraska), and will now play a game on Thanksgiving Day weekend! All they had to do was make up a new logo, split up the 12 teams, name their divisions, and fix on a place to play their conference Championship Game! Seems simple, huh?
The LOGO is, uh, odd looking. OK, this is the real one…You liked the first one better, too, didn’t ya?
The location of the Title Game, is fair….The Split of teams looks pretty good,…
Leaders Division:
Illinois, Indiana, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin
Legends Division:
Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern
…but, its the NAMES of the divisions that have been the cause of much laughter since they were announced. In fact, 90% of the fans disapprove of the names: “Leaders and Legends”?…and, Jim Delany and the boys are gonna have themsleves a “do-over”!
…”I think we have enough experience with names, and expansion and development of divisions, to know that you never, rarely, get 90 percent approval rating,” Delany said during the interview. “But to get a 90 percent non-approval rating was, you know, really surprising.”…..
…”It’s humbling, to say the least, because we’re trying to build fan bases, not push them away,” Delany said of the uproar caused by the new division names. “I was surprised. I’ve been around this business a long time, and it’s one of the more surprising things.”…
Can you help Mr Delany out on this one?….What should the division names be, in your opinion?
My suggestion: “Over-rated” and “”Average”…???….nah, just kidding. How ’bout “Dungeons” and “Dragons”?…
Ranking the Classes, College Football
Current rankings:
1. Texas, 2. Alabama, 3. FSU, 4. UFlorida, 5. Oklahoma, 6. tOSU, 7. LSU, 8. Georgia, 9. Clemson, 10. USC
11. Nebraska, 12. Notre Dame, 13. UNC, 14. Auburn, 15. California 16. Stanford, 17. Arkansas, 18. Okly State, 19. Virginia, 20. Oregon,
21. Washington, 22. Tennessee, 23. So Carolina, 24. Texas Tech, 25. Mississippi…with UKentucky just outside at #26!
NINE of the top 25, and the #26th team, are from the SEC…Missy State is listed 28th!– Meaning only Vanderbilt, from the SEC, is not listed in the top 30 right now.
The Big10/11/12?…WITH Nebraska in the mix now, has TWO (#6 and #11); The ACC has FOUR! (#3, #9, #13, #10); The Pac10 (with Colorado and Utah) scores FIVE teams in the top 25 (#10, #15, #16, #20, #21), and The Big12(-2) has FOUR (#1, #5, #18, and #24). Notre Dame, and their special table for one, is listed #12. They had a history of mis-managing top classes in So Bend, though. No one was better at wasting talent than Chunky Weis! The Big(L)East has no entries, even WITH TCU coming aboard.
Ranked recruits dont ALWAYS measure up to their rankings!….No, they sure dont. Neither do the lower ranked recruits. Having more highly ranked recruits has its benefits.
This collection of SEC teams bringing in top classes is the norm, and not an abberation. The top talent has been pouring itself into the SEC for many years!…When people say the SEC is the best conference in the country, this is one of the reasons why!
Like Classi'Cult "LRM"…rock out with your…
Does the 1987 Bengal team = the 2010 Bungle team?….and, will there be love in ’12, or a “Love Removal”?…
Coming off a 10-6 season in 1986, they went 4-11 in 1987…In 2009 they were coming off a 10-6 season as well,..and now!?!? –Well, they’ll be LUCKY to get to 4 wins. The question is; Which team would you rather have?…Sure, the ’87 Bengals roared 2 years later in 1989 (season) until Tim Krumrie went down early against the hated 49ers! Will…will,….will these clowns rebound like that?
Does this 2010 version give ANYone reason to believe there is a Super Bowl coming in 2012?….Stop laughing, and just say HAIL NO!
Was Sam Wyche a better head Ball Coach than Marv?(Is he still?..ha!)….I know The original Owner “Brown” was better than this “Mikey” dude we have now, so we’ll skip that part. What are the differences between these two similarly fated groups?
In my opinion THE biggest missing piece going forward is, no doubt, that there is no Tim Krumrie on this ’10 team. There’s also no; Reggie Williams, David Fulcher, Eric Thomas, Louis Breeden, or Louis Billups. No Anthony Munoz, no Dave Rimington, or Mad-Max Montoya. There is little doubt I’d take Chris Collinsworth and Eddie Brown over Chud The-Ass, any day of the week, month, year, century, or anything else! (NEC!) Nooooo way, no how is there a bad-ass man like James Brooks on the 2010 team…Ced Ben is “OK”, but he’s NO James Brooks! Not the man you could hand the ball to and know that he is going to hit the hole hard, hang on to the ball, and pick up chunks! Some fans had problems with Boomer..but, Boomer was the heart of that team and he didn’t accept the crap that happens week in and week out with “this” team- (Chud’s crap ass antics, for example). As far as ability, Palmer and Boom were probably even keel, or maybe Palmer is a little better. Palmer just doesn’t run this team, “O”-Assface does; And Ass-face Ocho cares less about winning games than Doc does for general hygiene!
Cleveland 21 – Bungles 13….can you see Andrew Luck and Cam Newton getting nervous?
Ryan, it ain't in the budget
Ok, but what if you’re guilty?…
Ohio — A man charged in the 2008 bathtub drowning of his wife wants taxpayers to pay almost $50,000 for experts to testify at his third trial.
Ryan Widmer is accused of drowning his wife Sarah Widmer, 24, in the bathtub of the couple’s home in Warren County, north of Cincinnati.
Defendants who don’t have money to defend themselves can ask the state to pay for experts; Widmer’s attorneys filed a motion Wednesday asking the judge to declare him indigent, the Middletown Journal reported.
The Widmer family has spent almost $500,000 on Widmer’s bond and defense, and almost $300,000 of that was for expert witnesses and attorneys’ fees, Widmer’s attorney, Jay Clark wrote in the motion. He noted that Widmer, 30, has not been able to work since he was arrested in August 2008 and his mother, Jill Widmer, has exhausted her retirement and savings accounts.
“Without court approved funds for experts, the prosecution will ultimately win the war by putting Ryan in a position where he cannot muster the resources to present an effective defense,” the motion says.
A jury found Widmer guilty of murder in April 2009. The judge set that conviction aside after determining juror misconduct. Jurors in Widmer’s second trial could not reach a unanimous verdict required for conviction or acquittal and were dismissed.
Attorneys and others involved in the trial are under a gag order and cannot comment outside court.
Judge Neal Bronson on Wednesday ordered that a juror questionnaire be mailed, and court administrator Scott McVey said 200 potential jurors will be summoned. One hundred people were called for the previous trial.
The third trial is scheduled to start Jan. 18.
….and how are the taxpayers EVER going to know? There are cutbacks on top of cutbacks….Cops are being fired, libraries are closing, services cut/eliminated, and so much more. How can the taxpayers get value from funding expert witnesses in legal cases like this? Dude, you’ve had two of these trials already…what rock wasn’t turned over in the forst two? Plus, its not as if you weren’t found GUILTY already! Sure, a Judge had a problem with it and over turned it; - but it was Juror mis-conduct! It wasn’t like an eye witness wasn’t permitted to testify, or some medical report was buried! No, it was a juror who went home and did a little self-test in his home! Then, the second one ended mixed!
I feel bad for you, fellow Cardinal, but this isn’t really a good time for a big ass loan! The reasons? What if you did do it, and you ARE guilty?….Then you’re just out to “F” the people!,…and, second: Why should anyone who cant spend $50,000 on paid-for testimony, not also get it paid for? Its just ridiculous! From an investment standpoint, the value for the greater good isn’t there!
I know its not up to me, and that this “practice” of “asking” for the funds isn’t new…but, it does suck!…and it sucks because the taxpayers dont really get a say, AND because those scumbag layers end up getting it ALL!…AGAIN!. like they alsways do!….You’ve had two trials already! If your lawyer cant sell jurors by now, maybe there’s a good reason for that? Giving a panel of his Buddies $50K just doesn’t seem like its more important than one more Cop on the streets for another year!
