The Iraqi National Rowing Team is at East Fork lake for the next 2 weeks for training, allegedly.
Why the hell are Iraqi’s here in Ohio of all places teaching/learning rowing? The last piece of advice I’d ask from an Iraqi is how to row. I mean have you ever seen a map of Iraq? It’s a huge desert. Are they rowing through sand or something? Look, if I want to build a sand castle, an IED, or a bomb out of some masking tape – a watch - and a bottle of water, I’ll ask an Iraqi. If I want to learn to row, i’m going to Miami and sitting on the beach and waiting for a few Haitians or Cubans to come paddling their illegal asses into shore. Because lets face it, those little bastards have been perfecting that technique for decades. Rowing through 20′ ocean swells, dodging Jaws, and avoiding pirates on the open ocean. Nobody rows like an illegal immigrant. Period!
