An ode to Paul Brown….
WHAT A JOKE!…Twenty years of crap efforts,…20 years of not giving a shit,….twenty years of turning a deaf ear to the pleas of the fans, and under-staffing the team while giving zero power to anyone not family. Who else could under-produce so consistently WITH a salary cap in place? Well, judging from the exclusive company the team is in, with respect to YOUR tenure, NO ONE! OK,…so 1990 predates you as head man a little bit, still…ZERO playoff wins! Hoo-frickin’-hoo-rah!
That kind of sucking doesn’t just happen w/o YOUR efforts, Son of Paul! What we need to ensure another year like the last 20, are more BONEHEAD moves like signing Terrel Owens! More cancer! That’s what this team needs! Heck, it looked like there was improvement last year, and we can’t accept improvement ’round here! So, congrates on your incredible run as moron NFL owner, and even more on your ability to squash positive momentum in this team you were “gifted”!….For nothing more than falling out the right crack at birth!
Now, you’re sticking one of the worst team guys in the history of the NFL, down the throats of a desperate fan base? Wow!- WHAT a guy! Isn’t it bad enUFf that every response to this news has been met with laughter and banter from other fan bases about how happy they are this idiot isn’t coming to their town? HECK NO! You run out and sign him! You sign him to “team” him up with the second biggest d-bag in NFL history– Chad “its-all-about-me” Johnson. BRILLIANT! The Bengals are yours, but they we suppose to be “ours” too! If only we ALL could inherit an NFL team, huh!??!?! Enjoy your celebratory Grand Slam breakfast at Denny’s, ya Jackass!
So, maybe this isn’t an “ode” in the literary sense of the word,….then again, Mikey Brown isn’t a real owner either!
With the Rams out of the mix, the Bengals are once again the only team going after Terrell Owens. Just like March.made an official offer on Monday according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer and the team is hoping an answer comes in the next 48 hours before training camp starts. The problem here looks like Owens’ price tag. There’s a reason why the Rams pulled out of the TO bidding — the asking price hasn’t come down,” Reedy writes.Laveranues Coles last year and invested huge money into Antonio Bryant, who the Bengals coaching staff now feels “lukewarm” about according to Adam Schefter.
With that in mind, the Bengals are trying to close the deal fast. They
”
The Bengals like to waste money on wide receivers, but it’s ridiculous if they don’t get Owens at a discount. The team burnt $10 million on
Paying Owens over $5 million would be throwing good money after bad.
