8.5 million and you get to live in a Condo, in BEAN-TOWN!….Why not just sell it for street value?…BECAUSE!….hey, exploit your now infamous celebrity status among the Boston Elite! Remembering those lost
Last weekend 4 buddies set out early to spend a day fishing off the Tampa Bay coastline. Of course the story is well known by now, as are the horrible results of that now fateful trip. Three young men are gone and their families and friends are now dealing with the loss. This is nothing short of tragic.
These guys weren’t anymore “lost” because they were Football players, and the story wasn’t anymore sad for that reason. I knew a guy that didn’t make it back from a diving trip, and his loss never got past page three in the local paper.
There’s likely going to be a lot more made of this event after the survivor agrees to talk to the media,….but I doubt he’s doing any backflips about being the “one” who made it, at this point.

Cincinnati Bengals – You’re almost on the Clock!
Ok, so how are you feeling about the way things are going with the Bengals?
Personally, my favorite signing so far is Crocker! He reminds me of our last dominating safety, David Fulcher! This was a guy that had to re-sign. He runs around with wreckless abandonment for himself and he’s football smart. If they give this guy time, he could be REALLY REALLY GOOD!
I was happy to see Cedric Benson get resigned as well, he runs hard and downhill. But as we all know, when Bengals running backs get the contracts they are looking for and don’t have to fight for their job, they tend to stop running..a la Dillion, Johnson!
TJ Gone, do I care? Not really. I hate players that try to show up their QB on the field, do nothing but call for a flag everytime they run a route, and are too close of friends with CJ. CJ told TJ on the phone 2 days ago that he would give anything to be in TJ’s shoes. Truth be told, I’d give anything for him to be in a seat next to TJ on the plane headed to Seattle as well.
Yeah, I know, Chad is the best receiver we have, Chad this, and Chad that…..But I really don’t give a shit!
Chad is a cancer that has infected this whole team. He’s too high maintenance. If he wants to remain the pretty boy that gets all the attention, then he should think about a boxing career. The problem with that though, is he’s afraid to take a hit and everybody knows it. So that wouldn’t work either.
Regardless, CJ’s days are numbered. They have to be. His name and his antics have become bigger than the team (and have been for a few years), and a lot of people were willing to put up with his crap while he was producing. I think trading Chad for a 3rd or 4th round pick would be great for this team. A typical case of Addition by Subtraction!
L. Coles is a nice pick up too, but only if you’re going to let Chad go! You get a guy in Coles that has numbers almost identical to TJ’s (coles has 1 more yr in the NFL than TJ) , they are the same age, and half the price. Plus, HE WANTS TO BE HERE!
I think the Bengals are setting themselves up to take real advantage of the draft. D-Lineman and O-Lineman. If they can shore up the trenches, get down to being a smash mouth, punch you in the gut type of team on the front lines, then they will have a chance to compete with Pitt & Baltimore. The AFC North (formally the AFC Central) has always been a rough, physical, dogfight division.
So instead of SOP doing crazy off the wall shit and trying to find the “Sleeper” in the draft, he needs to remember 1 key fundamental lesson: If you can’t beat them, Join them! So stop trying to come up with some new scheme or style of offense and defense, thinking that some day people will look back and think you are some sort of football genius. Because truth is, when people look back on your time and contributions to the NFL, The Bengals, and the city of Cincinnati there will be one huge unanimous and undeniable collective sentiment – Thank God He’s GONE! It’s time to find the biggest and meanest Lineman that you can and start playing some old school football. Because it doesn’t matter what QB, RB, FB, Recievers or magical playbook you have. If you can’t keep your QB standing upright and your RB is getting hit 4 yards deep in the backfield, all you are doing is showing your great football IQ year, after year, after year……and that my man, is the definition of insanity!
Coles to spell TJ,….
Now the Bungles are moving (a little). At least they showed something yesterday by signing Lav Coles (I still dont like spelling out “Laveranues”). And for FOUR years?…..Hey Teej, how’d THAT sound. A 31year old WR, and the Bungles gave him a 4-year deal (28mil). LOVE it!

NFL owners rejoice!….”ASH-hole” may be OUT, in the NFL?…..nah, no such luck, but this move (if its real) WITH the cap hit, is nice to see!
