Homer pitches, writers “cork a load”!

OH MY GAWD, BECKY!…..You’d think this was the 7th game of the UFreakin’ World Series!…..Homer Bailey threw 3 shut-out innings against the Pirates TripleA team! WHEW!…I’m gonna have to go lie down!
THREE INNINGS?….AGAINST THE PIRATES?…..CY FREAKIN’ YOUNG, yoth have’eth returned!
I’m certainly “happy” he pitched effectively against the Pirates for 3 innings, but come on, its not THAT spectacular. Please, Reds writer’s lets temper the good news, with the smack-you-in-the-face reality that, “He’s gonna have to pitch again!”….And 3 innings in Spring Training, against the Pirates after all the World Players have left their teams, doesn’t even START to re-pay his CHUCKY ASS SIGNING BONUS!!!!……ease it on down a tad, there, Spanky’s…that’s all I’m saying! After all, this is Cincinnati, not New York! (or Cleveland, eh Sam(my) Wyche?)

I’m a Homer lover, but those guys are crazy. They do this to us every year…get our hopes up, only to have us wake up Mid-May wondering what in the world’s going on when it’s been determined it’s mathematically impossible to make it to the playoffs! I have to admit, I was a HUGE Homer fan, went to his first MLB game, (Which by the way was a ROCKIN Friday night in the stadium) but…from what I understand he is basically a punk off the field (and sometimes a pouty baby on the field). I was willing to give him a chance, but from what I’ve seen, he’s just not ready. He’s got a lot of growing up to do.
