I just got finished listening to the ramblings of a “Bengals’” fan, and a Chud Johnson enthusiASSt!….man, some people in this town SURE make it look pathetic from a Sports perspective. I know these “closed few” fans aren’t representative of the WHOLE town, but this is some of the SAME ramblings that have been heard in many theaters of the Cincy Sports World. Football, Baseball, and particularly UC Basketball.
The Most supported ring-leader in the Cincy under-achieving club is Mikey’s Bungles!….Seems that all this man needs to do is show improvement, or maintain the status quo!…Playoffs?, Super Bowl?, a respectable franchise?…HA!…NONE of that is needed here!….No, if this man does nothing but KEEP Chud the Dude, some of these fans will be good with that!….and that’s the underlying concern I have……….
Its like “we” (as a Sports Town) are afraid to throw back the ”kinda big” fish, JUST because we might not catch a bigger/better one!….”Oh, don’t pizz off Chud, he might leave, and THEN what will we have!?!?!?!?!”…..”AAAAHHHHHHHH!” .Uh, an opportunity to get another player???..or, “You can’t get rid of Huggy-Chicken, WHO ELSE would we get to Coach here!?!?!?!”…uh, ANYone else?…
One guy actually said the Bengals won 4 more games a year with Marvin, over what was done here in the previous 4 seasons!….and that was GOOD enUFf to keep him! My question was, “Isn’t there more”?….”OH, but if you fire Marvin, WHO WILL COME HERE?!?!?!..AAAAAAHHHHHH!!…damn, dudes (and dudettes), this is a serious problem!
So, instead of going for the gold ring, we’ll just keep spinning around on the same ride, and hoping mediocrity will sUFfice!…..sad.
